Tessa woke up the next day, feeling recharged, and not really tired at all. She got up and realized it was 7 am. Tessa rarely woke up that early, and if she did, she would either go back to sleep or barely do anything. She quickly got dressed and opened the door to the hallway. She found a girls' washroom further down the hall and looked in the clean, white locker on one side of the room with her name on it. She found towels, extra clothing, and other toiletries and things that she would need like a hairbrush, a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, cream, and hair ties and clips. Tessa took the toothbrush, toothpaste, and hairbrush and got ready. She grabbed a random dress and walked back the way she came the day before, to the previous hallway.

No one was in their rooms. Tessa started to get a little worried. She didn't want to wander off somewhere she wasn't suppose to or get lost. But Tessa went off anyway. She tried to remember the way to the interacting area, which actually wasn't that hard for some reason. Tessa started to think that the scientists gave her a serum while she was unconscious.

Tessa found her way to the interacting area. One of the assistants was standing at the entrance.

"Hello there, Tessa. Aren't you the new TS?" she said in a friendly voice.

Tessa was confused. "The new what?"

"The new test subject. We say TS for short. I'm Katelyn. You can call me Kate for short. I'm one of you guardians. I suppose your looking for the main interacting room, aren't you."

Tessa nodded, kind of embarrassed to be lost.

"Well good. Right this way."

Kate gestured for Tessa to follow her up the hall. The hall was fairly wide and really long. There were a lot of voices of people behind the doors of the rooms. Especially in the ones further down the hall. Tessa assumed they were just crazy, both from their original personality and any substances that have been tested on them, but Tessa remembered what Roger had said, and ignored them. She just hope she wouldn't have to deal with them judging on how they sound.

When Tessa entered the room, there were already a lot of people there, Tessa thought it was because she might have woken up late. Everyone stopped to look at her. Everyone studied her to try to tell what she was like. Tessa was scared to move from her spot beside Kate.

"Go on Tessa. Make some new friends." Kate said as if she was her mother trying to convince her child to have social skills.

"If anything is wrong, just push the buttons that are spread out all over the room. They are colour-coated. The instructions are above them. Good luck!" And Kate left Tessa standing motionless.

Tessa knew she couldn't just stand there all day looking like an idiot, so she decided to move, but where? Tessa took a step forward and decided that was the direction she'll walk. Everyone watched as she moved toward an empty table with a chess game imbedded in it. She sat down and started to fiddle with the pieces, trying not to look at anybody.

Everybody eventually got tired of watching her and started to do other things. A girl, about her age, approached her. Tessa still didn't want to look up. The girl sat down in front of her and Tessa finally looked up at her to see her. The girl had wavy dirty blonde hair with straight bangs that brushed off to the right, under her other hair and tucked behind her ear. She had slightly tanned skin, which was flawless. She had blue eyes and long earrings that flowed nicely with her hair. Her face had a friendly and warming look to her and had a smile that told Tessa that she meant no harm, so Tessa wasn't exactly afraid.

"Hello. You must be a new TS." she said with a soft voice.

"Why do you call it TS?" asked Tessa, who realized that was the first time she talked since she got to the room.
