This is going to be a long chapter and a bit graphic.

"Mr Abernathy! This a surprise." I greeted, "I thought y'all are done here in Rochdale."

He smiled, "Wyatt please but there's still some things we need to clear up here."

"Okay. You enjoy coming to the lake." I asked.

He nodded, "yes the sheriff's office is too crowded so I decided to come. It's beautiful and peaceful."

"Yeah it is."I agreed.

Tyrell was gesturing with his head at Wyatt. I looked at the guys and they looked tensed.

I bit my lip and sighed, "Wyatt you said you could help us. How?"

He picked up a stone and skipped it across the lake.

"There's still loose ends that need to be tied but it's a good plan." He said and the guys groaned and shook their heads.

Roy folded his arms and asked, "Mr Abernathy I speak for everyone here but you gotta understand. We don't know you well enough. So whatever your plan may be. How do we know we can trust you?"

"Again Wyatt please. Besides I knkw what you know."

Roy's brow lifted, "and that is?"

"I know about Director Reynolds and his daughter Beulah." Wyatt replied.

Tyrell rolled his eyes, "you heard Alicia talk about them when you approached us."

Wyatt nodded, "I did but as a consultant to the state bureau. I can read the case files and after the fiasco with Agent Harris. Y'all did a good job there by the way."

We all carefully looked at each other but then turned our attention back to Wyatt.

He continued, "I noticed the pattern of where Director Reynolds worked before he became director. Wherever he was Agent Harris also worked there and..."

He gave a cheeky grin, "I've met Beulah. I good at reading people."

"So you sensed that she was gay?" Leshawn asked and Wyatt nodded.

I decided to speak before any discussion about the plan takes place.

"Well whatever you have planned. I'm sorry but after my shooting. I feel that I can't get involved anymore."

Everyone nodded in understanding but Wyatt gave me a cheeky grin again.

"Don't worry. What I got planned. What you need to do is so minimal. You won't even give it any second thought." He explained and he got started explaining his plan.

Well like he said what I have to do ain't much and I gotta say his plan was real smart.

He was done explaining and everyone agreed that they would help. The guys were getting ready to leave but I wanted a stay bit. It's boring at home.

"You guys go. I'ma stay a while. I'll walk home." I said and they frowned.

"You sure about that. We can stay a while if you'd like?" Roy asked.

I shook my head, "I'll be fine."

He sighed, "yeah but I don't wayne biting my head off if something were to happen."

"I'll be fine. Now go on."

"It's okay. I'll be staying for a while as well. Alicia and I can walk back together." Wyatt offered.

"Thank you Wyatt. You see I'll be fine." I said and with some hesitance they left Wyatt and I.

I was looking at the birds flying over the lake. I turned to Wyatt as he started speaking.
