The girl readjusted the glassed on her face, "Hell's War could be considered the beginning of humans as we are but a consequence of their actions hundreds of years ago. In fact, one researcher- Yu Ling Shua- believed that we were created by the demon race to be entertainment. As if they created us just to watch us fall in love and hate. You see, demons don't have those type of emotions originally. You could say that we owe our very existence to their race. Yet us humans fought against them in rebelion and locked them within another plane of existence.
"Our school head was in fact a part of the original war. Therefore some of our resources come from the other realm itself. We even have some contracts with them that make them do what we want. It's free labor! Beasts could do the same things, essentially, but demons are more intelligent."
'Free'? Addor wasn't so sure. According to her experience nothing was free. Even tissues handout adds weren't free. They gave that person the weight of feeling like they have to go. Or at least the fight of wanting to go but not being able. If this girl believed there was no ramification, than Addor found that she was exceedingly naive.
(They aren't literally saying 'hell' as they don't have the same religious aspect or ideas as Earth does. But instead they are saying 'place of the damned' or even 'world of the evil' or 'world of the banished'.)
"It's a remarkable and large part of our history, many children stories are created off of the stories from this time. It's surprising you don't know about it."
