As soon as Addor found her senses again she turned back again. She wasn't dead yet. He must have wanted to see her back. And, judging by their reactions, it was worse than she herself thought it was. She knew this body felt pain more harshly than her previous body and this didn't hurt nearly as badly as some of the things she'd dealt with in the past. Maybe they just weren't used to seeing gore? That would explain the guards' reactions. Either that or her body was making up for it somehow.
"Fine. You can have an exception."
The whole room was whispering by now. Addor didn't care enough to know if they were talking about her back or what the older man, who seemed to be in charge, was saying.
He sucked on his pipe. "A certain level of knowledge on any subject of your choice must be reached for anyone who enters this school. As for the exception..." He hummed, "There is something--or someone--killing our students. Take care of it."
The whispering got louder.
"But-" One man tried to put in his two cents but quickly sat back down after receiving a glare from the elder.
"I don't care how you do it." He waved his hand and, this time, returned to his seat, "Dismissed."
Addor was used to taking orders. Especially ones like this. One could say that this was her specialty. She bowed, just as she had always done for Boss after receiving the next target, "It will be done." With that, she swiftly returned the way she had come. The dog followed close behind her.
"She's going to be killed."
"Even we haven't yet made a move."
"That's only because it's not serious enough yet."
"Still..."
The room began talking amongst themselves, overlooking the presence of the elder who'd given the command. He didn't seem to mind that they were questioning his words and continued smoking his pipe, staring at the playing board in front of him.
