The girl standing by Fan Ling teared up. Had all the years they'd been together mean nothing? Did one look at another girl turn his gaze away from her? No, this... This must be because of something that girl had done. Because after all these years he hadn't so much as glanced at anyone else. Why was that woman the only exception? She was supposed to be the only one in his eyes! Not this... this... Ugly woman with no common sense!
Addor considered his offer. 'Near' didn't require 'touch'. More importantly, it didn't require kissing. "Don't care." She gently swatted his hand away. She turned to Chow Su, a glimmer in her eyes. She was obviously wanting something from him.
Chow Su knew that look. He would probably never forget it as long as he lived. It was the same look she'd had when they'd fought. He felt slightly better now that she'd disregarded the prince and turned back to him. Yet he refrained from patting her head. He knew how that would look to his majesty and didn't dare get on his bad side.
The Prince was holding his hand out, as if he didn't know what to do with it with a slightly shocked expression on his face. He didn't seem to mind that Chow Su had gained her attention over him but rather that his affection wasn't mutual.
"You need to care for your canis." Chow Su calmly nodded to the pup in her arms, "You won't have time for anything else."
Addor tensed. She looked down at the adorable blonde pup in her arms and suddenly felt like she didn't need it anymore. Her pet was already taking one of the few things she enjoyed.
Chow Su gulped at her cold expression. She'd been so happy to receive this puppy. Now she was exuding a dark, killer aura just because the pup had taken away her practice time? Was practice more important than a spirit beast?
