“Are you ok?” Dominic asked. “Ya,” Seth replied with his hand on his head, “it’s just that a lot of things I didn’t expect to happen actually happened today.” “I understand what you’re going through,” Dominic assured Seth, “but I need you to listen closely. I let your mind sleep a little longer than usual before I entered your dream, so I have less time to talk this time. You already know that tomorrow is the day you all decide what to do. Here is what I need you to tell Virtus. Tell him that in three days time, a blizzard with strike the dormant volcano that Harold met Flare at. He will be confused, because it hasn’t snowed there…ever…but it will happen. At that time, the Arch-Snogon will be there, and you will have 24 hours since the time the blizzard arrives to find it and pass the trial. From now until then, I want you and everyone in your group to dedicate your time to training. Clair is the closest of the four Arch-Gaiagon with you to mastering her terrain’s elemental abilities. Have her train Fergal and Olin, both as humans and as Gaiagon. Harold with help you, Sylva, and Jeffry train. You may feel that you can’t train with them because you have yet to obtain your holy weapon, but train with them none the less.” “How am I supposed to explain all this to everyone without telling them about you?” Seth said when he noticed Dominic was done talking. “Harold heard an unexplainable voice tell him to go to the forest, and he benefitted from obeying it,” Dominic replied. “Tell them a voice told you all of this. You aren’t telling a lie, because to you, I pretty much am a voice, even though you know me a little better. Oh, here comes Clair. Time for you to…”
“Wake up, everyone!” Clair said as she knocked on Seth and Jeffry’s door. “Today will start the same as yesterday, so be ready in an hour.” Seth yawned and pulled his legs over the side of his bed. “You awake?” Seth said to Jeffry. “Ya, I am,” Jeffry answered as he slowly got up and threw his covers off the bed. “I had a dream this time,” Jeffry said as he rubbed his eyes. “I saw a mountain, and the sun rose and set twice in a matter of seconds. After the second sunset, a flash blizzard struck the mountain and the sun rose one last time. My view zoomed in on the mountain, and I saw that the mountain was waist deep in snow. I was forced to look down into the snow, and two crystal eyes poked out of the snow below me. Afterwards, I woke up.” “Dominic explained that to me,” Seth said after he stood up. “He said that everyone, you, me, Sylva, and even Fergal and Olin, need to train for two straight days, and on the third day, a blizzard will strike the dormant volcano, which is when I will have my trial.”
“May I come in?” a female voice said after a light knock on Seth and Jeffry’s bedroom door. “Sure,” Seth said as he made his bed. Sylva walked through the door. She was still wearing the night gown that the castle maid gave her to sleep in. “I couldn’t fall asleep last night,” Sylva said as she closed the door. “My mind wouldn’t stop thinking. I kept asking myself, ‘Now that we have seen the king, what now?’ It’s almost as if, I came all this way to get help, and I didn’t know what to ask…” Seth walked over to Sylva and put his hand on her shoulder. “For once,” Seth said as he looked Sylva in the eye, “you don’t have to do anything. Jeffry and I know exactly what to do.” “Maybe you are the leader after all,” Sylva said with a small smile.
“I’ve been meaning to ask,” Jeffry interrupted, “when were you planning to tell us you were royalty?” Sylva shrugged and said, “I’ve been treated like and reminded that I was royalty all my life. I never really had to say it to anyone, so telling you guys just kind of…slipped my mind. I mean, you two are boys, and everyone treats you like men. When you meet someone new, you don’t think, ‘I should tell them I’m a guy.’ You are used to people seeing you and knowing you are both guys.” “That makes sense,” Jeffry replied. “I guess that never crossed my mind.” “Don’t think that changes anything,” Sylva quickly said. “I don’t want you to treat me like royalty. In my mind, right now I’m a Videun, not a Princess of Gofk.” Sylva waved and walked back to her room to change.
