"Omg, Serena, Yasming! Guess what happened?!" I screamed into their ears as I saw them.

"What?!?!" they said at the same time as I told them what happened between Brandon and I.

"You're going over to his house? " asked Serena. She kind of looked worried.

"Amy, are you sure he's not up to something?" Yasming asked... she also looked... worried.

"Guys, don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I don't think Brandon is that kind of person," I replied, hoping to alleviate their fear.

"Yeah, you don't think he's like that. But you also don't know if he is or not," Serena said.

"Amy, it's best if you just don't go. I know you're happy that he's asking you to... His house, but I have a bad feeling about this," said Yasming.

"Okay, if you're so worried, then come with me," I replied. Yasming took self defense class ever since she was 5. And believe me when I tell you she's good. She's good. Really good. I remember that day when we were at the gas station last  year. Some pervert tried to grab her butt and she drop kicked him. I could have sworn he landed in Alaska.

"Alright. I'll come. I'm bringing Christian," said Yasming.

"Okay... wait what?" I stared at her. "Christian? Who is this Christian? How come you never told me about him? What level is he? Where is he from? Freshman? Sophomore? Junior? Senior? Yas-" she cut off me suddenly.

"Amy! Calm down! I never got the chance to tell you, okay? He's my partner for the getting-to-know-each-other assignment in Human Geography. We've known each other since forever, cause he lives right next to me. We just haven't really talked ever since Freshman year. But he's really dependable and trustworthy. He's also really nice and sweet. Having him there-" This time, I  interrupted.

"Hold the phone. Did you just say he's sweet, dependable, and that you can trust him? Wow, this is the first time that I see you falling in love, Yasming! Yay, congrats!" I gave her a big hug. Come on  it's obvious that she's feeling something for this Christian. I can see her face becoming a tomato.

"Shut up, Amy. I'm not in love, okay? We're just... friends," she replied. I can see her blush. She's so obvious.

"Yasming, you've also been a horrible liar. Just stop. You obviously fell for him," Serena sang.

"Serena, what about you, huh? You're still in love with Olive. Ever since the 5th grade. It's about time for you to get over him!" Yasming shouted. I have never, ever heard Yasming scream like that. She must have been really embarrassed.

"Sorry, Yasming. I didn't mean to embarrass you," Serena whispered.

"Yasming, I didn't know that-" before I could finish, she said, "It's alright, guys. I'm sorry for overreacting. It's just that I've never felt this way before, and I know it just won't work between us. He's a level 1, and I'm a Level 3."

"Christian's a 1? Yasming, I'm sure he won't think lowly of you just because you're a 3. It doesn't freaking matter. Who determines our "levels" anyways? This is so stupid," I said and I meant every word.

"I know. It really is stupid. Ugh, whatever. I have no time for love anyways," Yasming replied.

"So, Serena. How are you and Olive?" Yasming suddenly switched the topic.

"Fine, I guess. We've been best friends ever since the 5th grade. And I fell in love with him ever since 5th grade. But he doesn't feel that way about me. I just know it," said Serena. She looked really upset. I understand what she's going through. I really do.

"Awh, it's okay Serena. One sided loves hurt a lot. I know. I've been in love with Brandon for ages," I said as I put my arm around her shoulders.

Turning around, I spotted Christian. He was walking towards us.

"Yasming! Hey! I need your number!" Christian said, facing Yasming.

"Oh, sure," I can totally see her blushing. Awh, how cute! Yasming and her first love.

"I'll see you later today, okay?" He turned towards me.

"Hi, I'm Christian. You're Amy, right?" Christian turned to face me now.

"Yes, I'm Amy. I'm guessing Yasming told me about you?" I replied.

Christian seemed really nice, unlike a lot of level 1s. Man, today must be the end of the world. Why are the 1s nice to be all of a sudden?

"Haha, yeah. She was talking about you and Serena the whole time in Human Geography! You guys seem to be really close," he said.

"Nawhh, no shit," I replied.

He laughed. He looks really cute. His voice has a really sexy, husky tone to it.

"You're fun to talk to, Amy. We should all hang out sometime. What's your number?" He asked all of of a sudden.

"You want my number? But why? Aren't we like disgusting insects to ya'll?" I asked before I could stop myself.

"No, not to me. I honestly don't care about the damn levels. I don't even know why the people here even made these up. They're so stupid," Christian looked at me in the eye. I could tell that he was serious.

"Haha okay. You're different..." I said. He really reminded me of.. Kevin. Oh god. Why am I thinking of Kevin again? Get a hang of yourself, Amy.

"Here's my number," I scribbled it down on his arm.

"Wow, okay then. I'll text ya'll later! We should really hang out!" Christian said as he walked away.

"What the heck was that? He didn't even ask for my number!" Serena yelled.

Yasming laughed. "He seemed to really like you, Amy."

"Well, I can see why you like him. He seems really nice," I told her. And hot.

"Shut up, Amy. Well, anyways, do you trust him a bit now? He's coming with us to Brandon's still," she said.

"Yeah, I guess he's fine," I replied.

"Whatever! You totally loved talking to him. I could see it in your eyes!" Yasming said.

"Um, guys? Am I like invisible to ya'll?" Serena asked in the background.

Oops, we were to busy to even look at Serena. When was she here again?

"Oops, sorry! We were kinda caught up with Christian and Brandon," I replied.

"Well, good for ya'll. But guess what?!? Olive is asking me to dinner! Dinner!" she said. "He just texted me asking if I was free."

I can feel my mouth curling up. Before I knew it, I was smiling again. I'm happy for Serena. I really am. At least her crush is close with her. They hang out almost every day. Been besties since foreves.

"Good for you, Serena!" I shouted as I pull her into one of my bear hugs.

"You go girl!" Yasming said as she did the same. I can see Yasming's huge smile as well.

Today was... A great first day.
