Chapter 10: Party Madness
Brandon wastes no time on the road, he may be going a bit over the speed limit... Or a lot. I honestly have no idea where we are going, all I'm really aware of are the tall pine trees blurred by the speed of the rusty old car. How is this old clanker even able to go this fast?
Before I know it Brandon turns off the main road, dust flies out behind us as the rapidly spinning wheels hit the gravel... Reminds me a bit of home. Here tall bushes and trees make a kind of tunnel, and at the end of the road is an old house... It looks like it has been vacant for years but as we get closer the house gets larger... And larger... And even larger.
Tons of cars are parked in the grass near the mansion, for it is a mansion. And strobe lights are flashing in the windows of the dark house... This is new... As Brandon leads me into the house the heat is the first thing to hit me. Hundreds of sweaty bodies dancing, moving and grinding generating enough heat to make this place an oven.
The second thing to hit me is the smell. Sweat, alcohol, and marihuana overwhelm my senses... This is not what I was expecting at all... I like it. Adrenaline courses through my body as Brandon pulls me onto the dance floor, I even forget I can't dance. I copy the girls around me and shake my hips, wave my arms around my head turning and moving my body in the most provocative of ways. If you can't beat them, join them.
Brandon puts his hands on my hips and stands behind me, I don't even care that we're grinding, there's so many people on either side of us no one notices. We blend in to the crowd, go with the flow.
Brandon brushes his lips against my neck and I feel heat course through me. He presses up against me and my mind goes all fuzzy... I'm sure you know the feeling.
"Brandon!" I gasp and push away from him.
"Sorry! I got carried away..." His face is red and he puts his hand on the back of his neck rubbing it out of embarrassment, a common gesture I've seen among guys.
"It's fine... Just... You have to take me out to dinner first!" I wink and laugh off the awkwardness. At least there's one thing I'm good at.
"Hey you wanna go upstairs?" He asks shyly.
"Ummm..." I start, "Oh god! I didn't mean it that way!!!" He says horror clear on his features... God he's cute... I giggle and lead the way up the steps, happy to get away from the heat and confusing lights.
