--Asgard--
As the battle raged on the other side of town, Glaive became impatient. He called his men to round up all the citizens that were available. After a while, the stone guards started piling them up on the large balcony of Asgard. The other stone guards were still fighting the Asgardians inside the palace. After a while, there were enough people for him to do a speech.
"You may think that we've come to your "paradise" for war, but no. We came here to collect a certain artifact that we so desperately want. That is why we came here, not as conquerers, but as simply collectors who wish to collect an Infinity Stone. So, give us the Orb!" Glaive demanded. "Every minute that it does not come to me, an Asgardian will be killed. Go on."
Glaive then leaned on the railing of the balcony and watched the Asgardians talk to each other. They were nervous as they were trying to find out who had the Orb. Thirty seconds passed and no one has given him the Orb yet. He went off the railing and stood up normally.
"I am being impatient. Hurry up or else I'll be adding a head to my collection." Glaive said, walking back and forth.
There was a few seconds left before he had to kill someone. They were already shouting at each other. The stone guards got a man from the crowd and dragged him to Glaive. He prepared his blade as everyone was scared. The man was trying to escape the stone guards but they were too strong.
"This man will serve as a warning to all of you. Where is the Orb?! I'm giving all of you 10 seconds before this man is killed."
Suddenly, Thor landed on the balcony and he was face to face with Glaive. He got out his hammer as went up to him.
"Glaive. You have to let him go. All of us. We have done nothing to interrupt your plans. Stop this madness and chaos." Thor said
"I will. But if you answer me. Thor, Son of Odin and King of Asgard..." Glaive fixed the position of the man so that the blade was under his neck, "Do you have the Orb?"
Thor hesitated to answer him, "I do not, Corvus Glaive."
"Very well then. It started with you." He said, chopping the head off the Asgardian.
"No!" Thor said, as he saw the Asgardian's body fall on the floor. "Glaive!" He charged towards Glaive.
Glaive blasted Thor across the town with his blade. Once he was done, he looked at the Asgardians faces. They looked horrified and scared as Glaive leaned on the balcony rail again.
"Another minute. Hurry." Glaive said, as he looked at the view of Asgard.
--Jungle--
Quill and Gamora were still confused as to why Richard helped him but it was done. They continued walking towards the ship and through the jungle. They were also trying to look for the other Guardians. As they were walking, they saw Thor being flung across Asgard.
"What the hell is that?" Quill thought, looking closer.
"Let's keep on walking, Quill. We need to get the hell out of here." Richard said, pushing the bush out of the way, "You never know... The people who are attacking might want to kill us too."
"That's Thor. It's definitely him." Quill said, walking back. "We need to save him."
"Do you want to get us killed, Quill? We may be walking back to our possible death. We need to get out of here and think of a better plan 'cause the whole dam Galaxy wants us right now." Richard said. "If you want, you can go back and we'll leave you."
"He's right, Peter. We have to get out of here." Gamora said, as she looked at the view on the top of the mountain. "I think I see our ship."
"Damn it." Quill thought, as he ran back to Richard and Gamora. "Where is it?"
Gamora pointed at the colorful ship that was standing out from the rest. "I think there is some stone guys over there."
"Well, we're screwed. Those guys are tough as hell even if I use my powers. Any plans?" Richard asked, as shots were fired near the ship. "Rocket. Let's go."
"Glad to know that you remember their names already." Quill said, opening his jet packs. "I'll go first." He flew towards the gunshots.
Gamora and Richard ran through the forest. Richard grew impatient as well and flew instead of running. It was just Gamora who was running. Suddenly, a stone guard appeared and almost hit her in the chest.
She kicked him in the face but it really hurt her foot. Its face was made out of stone so her foot was aching like hell. She just grabbed its face and smashed it into a tree. His head turned into stones.
"I got ya." Gamora said, as she kept on running towards the ship. When she arrived at the scene, the Guardians along with Richard were fighting off some stone guards that were there.
They were easily taking care of them. Quill and Rocket finished the last of them as Rocket took a seat on the rock. Mantis entered the ship as Groot and Richard followed.
"You alright?" Quill asked, as he sat beside Rocket.
"I'm fine. Just tired. It was a pain in the ass to sleep with Groot. There were some branches that were getting in the way." He chuckled. "How 'bout you?"
"Nothing too special." Quill said, as Gamora entered the ship. He looked at the mountain where there were a few stone guards coming down the mountain. They quickly got into the ship and started it.
"I'm driving this time." Quill said, as he went on the pilot seat. "You take care of whatever you need. I'll just take us to deep space."
The ship started to hover as there were some stone guards shooting at the ship. Rocket fended them off with the rockets installed in both sides of the ship.
Glaive stood over 8 bodies as all the Asgardians were already weeping, begging for mercy. He then saw a ship flying out of Asgard. He became frustrated and ordered his men to bring all the people to the ship.
"I'll get that Orb." Glaive said, as he walked towards Rebirth.
