--Milano--
Quill sighed, as he looked at Richard placing his helmet on the table. It has been one hell of a week. Mantis has kept Adam from waking up and the bounty has limited them to what they can do. Wars have been raging around the Galaxy of a specific group trying to locate an artifact.
Quill stood up and looked at the window. The Galaxy was shining brightly from him as flickers of light were on his face. Suddenly, a large ship appeared in a moment. There was a fleet of ships around it also. Quill paused for a moment before he regained his consciousness.
"Um... Ok." Quill said, as he went to the lower decks. "Big ship. Big ass ship!"
Rocket and Groot exited there rooms and looked at a worried Quill. He was scared to the point that his face was turning into a different color. Rocket got his weapon out and walked towards Quill.
"What do we have outside? Worms? Aliens? Alien-worms?" Rocket asked, as Groot came from behind him.
"We have a gigantic ship outside. You better have some weapons 'cause baby it's showtime."
"Such a cliché, dumbass." Rocket murmured, as he took a peek outside. There were ships flying towards them and Rocket started having the same feeling as Quill, "I think I'm about to shit my pants."
"I already did." Richard sarcastically said, as he opened the door leading outside. "So hurry the hell up and let's have some fun."
Richard jumped outside and started blasting ships out of the sky. There were about 50 ships that were coming his way so he made the most of it. He started having fun when all of the ships focused on him, like he was the leader. He shot every single ship that was shooting him as Rocket exited the ship.
"You started having fun without me?!" Rocket shouted so Richard could hear. Rocket brought his gun out and sniped the drivers who were flying around him. "You must have a lot of friends, don't you."
A big ship came from the gigantic ship and started flying towards the Milano. Richard and Rocket were too busy to notice while Gamora was still licking herself in her room while Quill was having difficulties setting coordinates.
"If you could keep the battle out of the work station, that would be nice." Quill said nicely, as he set coordinates.
The big ship overshadowed the Milano and placed it inside. Quill looked out the window to see darkness and nothing else. He thought he managed to get into the Dark Zone but instead, there were stone guards walking towards the ship.
"Quill?" Rocket asked through the radio that was built in the cockpit. "Is it only me that can see a big ship and not the Milano?"
"Oh... You're looking at a big ship. A big ship that just ate the damn Milano!" Quill said in frustration as he placed his hand over his face. "You should have been inside here while I was outside kicking ass."
"How the hell will we go back inside? Richard and I are stuck outside fighting literal ships!" Rocket shouted into the radio.
"Just stay put while we fi-" Quill stopped immediately when he saw a person chopping the side of the Milano out. When he saw Quill, he smiled.
"Peter Quill." Glaive announced, "From all the people who could show up in my ship, the greatest ravager decides to surprise me."
"I wouldn't call it a birthday surprise." Quill said, as he jumped on the ground. "Where am I?"
"You're in my home. You are in a Sanctuary." Glaive welcomed him. "May I ask a question, do you have the Orb?"
"Nope. I don't even know what that even is." Quill lied so he won't get attacked.
"Very well then." Glaive said, "Along with the others."
Glaive blasted a lightning bolt towards Quill as he rolled over to avoid it. The Orb managed to drop off his pocket and stumbled around the ground. Quill grabbed it before Glaive could get it. Glaive got frustrated and grabbed Quill by the neck.
"Give it to me now!" Glaive demanded, as he tried to pull the Orb out of his hand.
"You forgot to say please, boy." Quill chuckled, as he shot Glaive through the heart.
His body regenerated quickly since he was still holding his blade. When Quill landed on the ground, he was shocked to see him alive. Quill ran back to the ship as Glaive slowly walked to him.
"I'll get that Orb! Give it to me, now!" Glaive commanded, as he blasted one of the wings of the Milano off.
"Oh shit." Quill said, placing his hands on his head. He looked back, Glaive was almost finished healing. "You never die, don't you."
"Without my blade, I'm nothing. With the Orb, I'll play God." Glaive laughed, as Quill hesitated to what he will do.
Suddenly, a glow of gold came from the ship. A man emerged from the wreckage of the ship in gold skin. It was Adam Warlock. Mantis stood behind him with a face of disappointment.
"I was tired." Mantis quietly said
"Stop. Give me the Orb, now. I know what I will do with it." Adam said, as he extended his hand to Quill.
"I wonder. Who should I give the Orb to? An immortal blade wielding God wannabe or a man who looks like a girl with all that gold." Quill sarcastically said. "Tough decision."
"You are such a waste of time." Glaive blasted a shot towards Adam who deflected it.
"Looks like you have found your match, Corvus Glaive." Adam said, who stomped his staff on the ground.
Meanwhile, Richard and Rocket were trying to enter Sanctuary. They tried their best searching through all four corners of the place but they couldn't find an entrance that would suit them.
"Holy shit." Richard said, as a beam of gold cut the ship in half. The beam of energy came from inside the ship.
"Was that you?" Rocket asked, looking at the explosion. "I know you make yellow beams but it's usually not that bad."
"Let's check it out." Richard said, as they flew through the ship.
