"So, you're telling me that someone in this galaxy placed a billion bounty on us?!" Quill asked, as he walked back and forth behind Rocket, who was looking at the bounty.
"That's about right. The Sovereign set a full-on bounty on us. Five-hundred million dead, one billion alive. That is just music to my ears." Rocket said sarcastically.
"Should I go downstairs to inform Gamora or should I-"
"I think you should stop spying on me, Quill." Gamora said, placing her sword on the table. "That will be greatly appreciated."
"That wasn't intended. I was about to tell you something but it happened to be the same time around that you were dressing." Quill sighed, "It was also Rocket's idea."
"Oh... So you're bringing me in this conversation. That's great, Quill." Rocket rolled his eyes. "How many friends do you have again?"
"Enough! We have to focus on the problem that we have a billion bounty on us. Basically every person in the universe right now wants our head to be delivered to Ayesha." Gamora said.
"What should we do then?" Quill asked, looking at Mantis who entered the cockpit.
"We try to be silent, hide our identities. We can't let them know where we are or else we'll be stuck in between a gigantic space battle." Gamora placed her hand on her head and started thinking. "I think we should go to Sakaar."
"That will not be very wise." Mantis interrupted the conversation, "Because the Grandmaster will make us his warriors and place us in his battles. I suggest we go to Asgard."
"That's a great idea. Thor will surely help us with this matter." Rocket sighed in relief and returned to piloting. "Asgard here we come."
--4 hours later--
Water hit the windshield of the ship as they kept on driving up. There was a big ocean under the Rainbow Bridge which probably explains why there is water coming off the side. They all stared at the beautiful site which is Asgard. Nova was still in his cell along with Groot as they were preparing to land. They couldn't find a suitable place for the ship so they settled in the forest.
"This place is huge for an island." Rocket said, as they outside of the ship. There were trees that blocked the view of the sun so some spots had light in it.
"It's more of a planet if you think about it." Quill said, as he pushed Richard out of the ship, "Keep on moving."
"You clearly haven't taken care of a prisoner yet, have you?" Richard said. "They usually beat the hell out of them if they're slow."
"All I want from you is silence and respect. So you might want to keep on moving with your mouth closed."
They continued walking towards the main city of Asgard. They planned to enter through the back since they didn't formally land. There was a path that led to the palace so they followed it. The moon was already rising in the horizon as they slowly walked. They were all tired. At one point, they have to admit it.
"So... Is your vocabulary only limited to I, am and Groot?" Richard asked, as Quill hit him upside the head.
"I am Groot." Groot said.
"That's nice to hear. Did anyone understand what he said?" Richard asked, as Rocket looked at him.
"He said you're a dumbass." Rocket chuckled as Richard tried to be calm.
They finally reached the palace and silently walked inside the back area. The guards were off duty since they were eating their dinner. The throne where Odin would sit was vacant and Thor was nowhere to be seen.
"I could get used to this." Quill said, as he sat on the chair. "I am King Thor. Ruler of Asgard." Quill chuckled while imitating Thor.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck the entrance of the palace. Quill quickly got out of his seat and hid behind it just like the rest of them did. They were quiet as they listened to a conversation.
"How was the farm today? Did it produce enough crops for the following months?" Thor asked.
"Enough for both food and trading. We could find some valuable resources with those crops." Heimdall said.
"Very good. Isn't Valkyrie in another planet?"
"She didn't say where she was going but she definitely went to another planet." Heimdall stopped and listened for something. "I can see something."
"What is it you see, Heimdall?" Thor said, bringing out his hammer.
"People were here. They still are. Behind the throne of the King."
"We come in peace, Thor." Quill said, placing his hands in a surrender position. "We came here for shelter so if you won't mind, we'll stay here."
"Peter Quill!" Thor happily said, placing his arm around him. "How are you? It's been so long since we last saw each other."
"It has. We're in a tough position right now 'cause the Galaxy is kind of against us right now."
"Oh... Yes. The bounty that has been placed on your team. It's horrible. Everyone has been asking me about it."
"So, you'll let us stay here?"
"Of course. Anything for allies who helped me defeat Thanos. Enjoy yourselves. Relax." Thor said, as he noticed a person in restraints. "Who's the new guy."
"Odinson. My name is Richard Rider. A pleasure to meet you. The last time I saw you was when you were helping this criminal right here." Richard said, pointing towards Quill.
"We're not friends. I just wanted to clear that up." Quill whispered.
"I can see that." Thor then turned around. "Now, I shall bring you to your rooms."
