--Milano--
Quill swerved to the left as gunshots hit the right wing of the Milano. Richard was helping Groot fix some broken parts inside the ship. Gamora just gave up and sat in her room. Mantis looked out the window and served as a scout. And Rocket, he was shooting at the stone guards.
"Are we almost out of here, Quill?!" Rocket shouted so Quill will surely hear him.
"Yeah... Just a few more... Jumps." Quill said, struggling to press the button for hyper-drive.
"Wait what?! Hyper-drive?!" Rocket was too late and the ship went 20 jumps from their position.
They jumped from planet to planet, until they reached their destination. All of them were getting dizzy as Richard and Groot were just flying around the ship. It took a solid four minutes until they stopped and reached the place they were going, which is nowhere.
"Quill..." Rocket paused, pushing the seat that was on his face, "Where the hell are we?!"
"Shut your whining." Quill said, taking deep breaths. "You said to get out of there so I got out of there."
"Get out with a place to go, Quill! Now we have to wait for this stupid hyper-drive to reset."
"What just happened?!" Gamora shouted from the lower deck.
"Keep on sleeping, Gamora. It was just a small little bump." Quill shouted back, sighing in the process. "Do you want to sleep?"
"I could use some rest." Rocket and Quill returned to their rooms and slept. After a while, everyone else went to their bed and slept as well.
--Asgard--
Glaive walked back to Rebirth with some Asgardians with him. He will use the Asgardians to threaten others so it was a smart idea to bring them along. They could not find Thor and even the Orb was not with them yet. He looked at his tracker and saw a beeping signal in the middle of nowhere.
"The Orb is in the middle of space. Get out there and retrieve it." Glaive said, as 50 stone guards stole a ship from Asgard and drove out into space. "Useless fools."
--Milano--
It had been a few hours since they started sleeping. The ship was relatively quiet than normal. Quill woke up in the middle of the night. He rubbed his eyes and slowly sat down. His back was in pain after staying in Asgard. He stood up and walked to the lower deck of the ship. He walked like a fool after so much sleep. There was no one awake besides him so he went up to the cockpit.
"Anyone here?" Quill asked so he won't wake up anyone. He went up to the pilot seat and sat on it. He opened the ship and started to drive it.
With nobody there, he slipped on the earphones Sam gave him from Earth. He scrolled through the different songs and found one he liked. He listened to it as he drove the ship, looking for a planet. The hyper-drive still needed some time until they could use it but Quill could wait.
"Up so early?" Richard asked as he walked up the stairs.
"You too?" Quill took off the earphones, "Thanks for coming upstairs. I was bored as hell."
"Well..." Richard took a seat on one of the chairs, "My pleasure."
"Have you ever met those guys back in Asgard? Like, during your battles?"
"Never. I do know the Black Order though. We've been chasing those bastards since the beginning of time."
"They must be big criminals. When did you meet Thanos? Like the big purple dude who acts like he owns the universe."
"Nope and I'll probably never meet him. He was a scary dude with all the stones in his hands. That's why the Nova Corps didn't want to be involved with the war you were having."
"It wasn't necessarily a war. It was more of me and the other Guardians kneeling. The Avengers were the one who took care of business."
"Avengers? Who are they?" Richard asked, as Quill looked at him in confusion.
"You don't know them yet? The group who basically saved the entire universe. They're like the galaxy's mightiest heroes."
"Oh... So the Guardians of the Galaxy aren't the mightiest heroes?" Richard chuckled
"We're near there. Maybe two or three. Definitely top three."
Quill and Richard's conversation went silent as they looked into space. The stars were shining brightly once more as Quill looked right at it. Inspecting it closely while Richard just gazed at it.
Suddenly, a heavy object landed on top of the ship. The collision caused the ship to rumble for a bit. They both looked at each other before they tried to find out what happened.
"What was that?" Quill asked, as Richard looked as confused as him.
"I don't know. I thought you would have some knowledge at least." Richard said, walking towards the landing dock. They saw Rocket just waking up and woke him up even more by throwing water at him. "Wake the hell up!"
Rocket was surprised and fell over. He wiped his eyes and got a gun from the drawer, "Don't do that again."
The three slowly walked towards the landing dock. Quill was on front followed by Richard. Rocket opened the pad as it extended slowly. Another object hit the ship as all three of them hit the ground.
Quill hit his head on the side of the wall and slowly sat down. The damage on his head is serious already so he held it. Their were no available bandages around so he had to stick with holding it.
Richard and Rocket were the two left standing. The ship started to get heavier again as Rocket hit the ceiling. Rocket landed on the floor hard as he groaned in pain. Richard was the only person left who was not hurt.
"I'll do it." Richard said in frustration as everyone was knocked out easily. Richard got his Nova form out and slowly hovered in air. At first sight, there was no one there. But when he turned around, there was a tall and golden man standing on top with a staff.
"Who the hell are you?" Richard questioned the golden man.
"I am from the Sovereign race. I am Adam Warlock."
