Chapter 30

A/N: This is it. The final chapter. I'd like to thank you all again for this amazing opportunity. This story couldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for you. i'm so proud of all you guys. So without further ado, here's the final chapter.

I walked through the zoo and kept bumping into random people. They gave me the dirtiest looks a person could ever give to someone. I was friendly and polite. I said sorry to them as I quickly hurried away and headed to the back of the penguin exhibit. I really wanted to see my favorite animal. I loved them so much that it was almost unreal.

When I got there, there was no one here. Was this the actual location or was  I missing something? Just as I was about to leave, I ran into someone and instantly recognized the scent. It was JC so I hugged him.

"Happy Birthday young princess. You're going to love your surprise." he said as he hugged me back. Being 2 years taller, he had a good 6 inches on me and he always teased me about it.

"Happy birthday to you too Justin." I giggled. He hated being called Justin.

"You know I hate that name."

"Yeah. But you love me and it's our birthday so I'm good."

"Yeah."

"Can I have the last clue now?"

"Oh right. I almost forgot about that." he said. He began pulling out a piece of paper but stopped when he was approached be a zookeeper. The exchanged a few words and I got a little worried.

"What was that all about?" I asked him as the guy walked away.

"Oh. Just an idea for something." he smirked.

"Okay. Where's that paper to lead me to the final clue and my surprise?"

"No need for that." someone said from behind me. I turned around and came face-to-face with Connor.

"Oh my god. Why are you all dressed up and why did you make me run around town all day just to come back to the zoo?"

"I needed everything to be absolutely perfect and in order to do that, I needed to keep you busy. Everyone was in on it." he said as everyone emerged out of nowhere. The guys were all dressed up and holding roses and the girls had dresses. They were holding dahlias.

"What's going on here?" I asked. Suddenly, Connor grabbed my hands in his and began talking.

"Looks like you've made it to the last destination. I guess you deserve your prize now. I really hope you like it because if you don't, I'll be upset. This literally took me like 3 months to plan everything so it was absolutely perfect. So without further ado, here is your prize. Jaycee Marie Caylen, you're one of the most amazing girls that I've ever met. When I do something stupid, you're always by my side, even if you're mad at me. You're smart and like, drop dead gorgeous. I've known you for years now and I can honestly say, I've loved every last minute of it. We've been through quite a lot. You've hated me for such a long time but even during that time period, I couldn't stop loving you. You have changed my life in a good way. Before you came along, I could never keep a relationship for very long because none of them seemed to be 'the one'. It wasn't until I met you that I discovered the true meaning of perfection. And I know this is going to sound cheesy but I don't care. The first time I saw you, it was love at first sight. Hell, I fell in love with you the first time I watched one of your videos. And let me tell you, I was truly amazed. I've never seen someone with as much talent as you. On top of that, you're also the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen. I can't believe that noire my girlfriend. I literally never shut up about you when you're not around. They say age unjust a number and it doesn't matter when you truly do love someone. I love you Jay and I want time make your 21st birthday the most memorable one ever. I love you so much and I never want to lose you. The only way to make sure that you stay mine forever is to make this one last final step into the future. What I'm trying to say is something very special. I love you. Jaycee Marie Caylen," he said as he got down on one knee and my eyes started watering. I covered my mouth as my eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. "will you make the happiest guy in the world and marry me?"he asked, slowly pulling out a small black box. He opened it to reveal a shiny diamond ring.

"Oh my god. That was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. Of course I'll marry you Connor." I nodded my head and the happy tears started falling faster.  He ran over to me and spun me around, putting the ring on my finger then kissed me. Everyone around us started cheering and clapping.

"I'm so glad you said yes."

"How could I not? You're really special to me Connor and I can't believe you went through this much trouble just to propose."

"I wanted it to be special and romantic."

"Well mission accomplished." I smiled up at him. He grabbed my hand and all our friends gathered for a group hug.
