I spent two days in the garage alone. I couldn't leave without getting attacked by the sun. I couldn't check on my sister through her transformation, I couldn't watch the Cubs play baseball. I couldn't even see my niece.
Being a vampire sucked.
I had no form of entertainment as I was trapped in the garage. Bella was supposed to wake up today, and I wasn't able to see my newly transformed sister.
I could hear everything that was going on. I heard every breath from Jacob and my niece. I heard every movement from the Cullen's. It terrified me how I could hear anything I focused on. I didn't even need my glasses anymore, but I still chose to wear them.
I could hear the faint sound of a heartbeat dying out, and I knew that Bella's transformation was almost complete. The house went silent. Nobody moved. They all waited for my sister to open her eyes.
'Piper my dear, I have something coming for you.' The lady in my head spoke, startling me from the silence. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as she spoke. Two days ago, I was human with a dying sister. Now, I'm a traditional vampire who can't leave the garage without being burned and my sister was now a Cold One. My life was far from normal.
Before I could sarcastically ask the lady in my head how she planned on sending me something, Jasper and Rosalie walked through the door. I smiled at them. "Is she up?"
Rose nodded her head while Jasper chuckled. "This came for you. It's from an unknown sender." He says, handing me a small box.
I took it out of his hand, and opened it slowly, cautious of what I would find inside. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I saw a little ring. I didn't know what to make of it.
'Place it on your finger and walk into the sun.' The lady instructed me. My eyes widened. There was no way I was going to listen to her. She was sending me on a suicide mission.
But, I had no control over what I was doing. Something inside of me told me to trust her and do as she says. And so I did just that. I placed the little ring on my second finger on my right hand and then walked into the sun.
"PIPER WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Rose and Jasper screeched, but I paid them no attention. I kept walking until I got into the sun, and smile when I didn't burn.
I heard three pairs of footsteps outside, and I smiled. "Bella."
I ran to see my sister. The whole Cullen family was gathered in the family room, all anxious to see Bella. Jasper and Rose went to go stand by their Mates as I stood in the middle, waiting for the face of my sister.
I held in a gasp as I finally saw her. Her limp greasy hair was now fully and a chestnut brown that complimented her red eyes well. Her skin was now as pale as the Cullens, but it was a good look on her. I smiled at who my little sister had become.
"Izzy." I voiced, gaining her attention. My sister snapped her attention from Carlisle and Esme to me. Her red eyes widened and she rushed into my arms.
I didn't want to let her go. I wanted to hold her forever, but I had to as I couldn't keep her from Renesmee. "You look beautiful Bells."
My sister sent me a smile, but her eyes caught her daughter and I knew that she was finally happy. That's all that I had ever wanted for my sister, was for her to be happy, and she finally got it.
I felt my head begin to pound as flashes of memories that weren't mine went through my head. I took in a breath and gripped my temples. Bella didn't look at me, she was too busy attacking Jake to notice me, as were the Cullens.
I felt the memories go away and I smiled. 'This is where I leave you Piper. We will meet again soon.' The lady spoke. I nodded my head, relieved that she was finally leaving me.
I went to bed early that night. I hadn't slept in two days, and I needed it. I fell into a blissful sleep, with no worries about what was to come.
