Written by Me and Grace.

We finally made it into Newcastle and set up camp in a abandoned 2 story house. We made a plan for what we were gonna do in the morning. “So to repeat, 1st we go to the nearby Tescos and raid it, 2nd we find a hospital or doctors surgery or Pharmacy, and raid it, 3rd we come back here and sleep or something. The day after we try and find a working Vehicle and drive the rest of the way.” I said while setting up my sleeping bag on the floor. There was a double bed, so I let Grace take it.

“So. A whole lot of raiding?”

Grace replied still stroking Harō who was lying next to her.

“Pretty much” I replied.

“David why are you sleeping on the floor when there's a double bed?”

“To give you and Harõ the double bed" I replied.

“But there's room for two people and a dog you know. Are you just being an awkward bean?”

“I dunno. Probably” I told her

“You know I don't mind sharing a bed with you right?”

“Yep!” I said once again

“Then why are you sleeping on the floor?!” She said sounding frustrated

“Why not" I said now smirking

Graces face turned red as she simply lied down and cuddled Harō

I started to laugh and then quickly put my sleeping bag away and curled up next to Grace feeling I’ve done what I intended to do.

Grace yelped slightly.

“S-so” “changed your m-mind have w-we?”

“That, And I felt I got the reaction I wanted.” I said laughing slightly at her reaction

Grace. Clearly annoyed that I got the best of her, elbowed me in the stomach.

“I so deserve that" I groaned

“Yes. Yes you did David” Grace said as she turned over and snuggled in my arms.

I simply hugged her and we both fell asleep.

*In the morning*

I was awoken suddenly by the sound of the door of the house we were in suddenly being slammed open. I untangled Grace from my arms and bolted out of bed grabbed my pistol and quietly made my way downstairs. I got into the kitchen when I saw a hoodie with a ‘17’ on the back, I then noticed I was taller than the owner, and that they had blue hair.

“Alex" I said my voice going back to its monotone sound that Alex was all to familiar with.

“David" Alex simply muttered.

*Graces POV*

I heard feet rushing downstairs. Waking me from my sleep

I noticed that David was no longer beside me and Harō was also awake with his ears straight up. He growled slightly at the door and I quickly got up, grabbed my dagger and ran downstairs.

Once I got to the bottom I couldn't believe my eyes

“A-Alex..?” I muttered

Alex's facial expression softened as they looked at me

“Grace" Alex said

Tears began rolling down my face as I ran into their arms.

“I thought you died! Or even worse I thought you turned! Where were you??”

“I was at home when the infection struck. Trying to get out of the city was a nightmare. I’ve been trying to find you since the infection started. Guess I got lucky. I can't say the same for Ryan though…” Alex told me

“O-oh…” I said sadly

Alex and Ryan were my partners.

I was in an open relationship with both of them.

I turned to David

“Isn't this great?” I said smiling

*Davids POV*

“Just like old times" I said my voice still monotone “I’ll go grab my rifle and ammo then we can go on the raid.” I walked off and upstairs. I could hear Alex and Grace talking, but I didn't listen. I didn't care. Grabbing my Sniper from the corner of the room, I put on my Tactical vest, which I stole of a dead Royal Marine, grabbed some ammo for my pistol and Sniper. Before walking back downstairs, Sniper binoculars in hand.

“Lets go. Grace, we’ll leave our stuff here. It should still be here when we return. Alex, I don't care what you do from here on out. Just don't get in my line of fire.” I said and walked out the door.

Grace then followed behind with Harō, linking her arm with Alex.

Bye Bye.
