Warning: Feels ahead.

*Graces POV*

After running for a short time I remembered.

I had forgotten about rose and Harō!

I immediately turned around and began running back

The tent had some soldiers outside it, inspecting the carnage that David left.

“Where's Rose?!” I said

“The baby?” A soldier asked “taken into care by one of the mothers here”

“And Harō?! The German Shepherd??”

“Still in the vet tent” he said “is he and the baby yours?”

“The dogs mine and the baby was tagging along with us” I then looked around

“And...David?”

“Who?”

“Boy, long dirty blonde hair, navy blue hoodie”

“Yes, I know, he killed two of my men and scared doctor Regan half to death, last time I saw he was walking back into the wasteland”

“WHAT?!” I shouted

“He deserves whatever comes to him”

“HARŌ! HERE BOY!” I shouted

Harō came padding out of the vet tent. Tail wagging

I decided to not ask more about rose.

She'd have the best chance of surviving here, even though it broke my heart.

As soon as I had Harō by my side I immediately went out to find David.

Oh god...I shouldn't have run off like that…

If he dead I'll never forgive myself.

“DAVID?!” I called out

“DAVID PLEASE! IM SORRY!!”

No answer.

I continued like this for some time.

Walking around the wasteland trying to find the only one I had left.

Harō began whining

“I know boy, I miss him too”

What's even worse is that my arms were still uncovered and I still had a temperature.

They burned.

A lot.

I did my best to block it out though because I was not going anywhere until I found him.

I had hope.

Though that hope quickly turned to fear as I felt a blade on my throat

“Did you really think you could kill me off that easily? Come on sweetheart. You know me better then that”

That...that voice

No...it...it couldn't be!

David killed him! How was he alive?!

“D-dean..?”

“In the flesh” he whispered into my ear

I tensed up

Harō began growling

“Now now, be a good boy, or I might hurt your mistress”

“How are you even walking..? I thought David killed you!” I said. Still not daring to turn around.
