Most people seem to have their favorite movie all sorted out, but I never have. Maybe when I was a kid it would be this movie Dinotopia that I would always check out from the library. It had some talking dinos and some contrived drama and isn't actually that good, but I liked my scaly grandparents when I was just a wee boy. Today though, Imma go with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly aka Me, Moon, and L >:)
It's even got an iconic name - perfect for cheap and easy jokes. Great characters too, and really it's a character driven film which are my favorite stories. I think Tuco especially is memorable if not likable, even though he's goofy in a scampering sorta way. I like how the others get a couple long scenes - let alone earlier movies - to introduce them, but Tuco just jumps out a window with a chicken wing. Bwahgabwabwaaaaa 'the ugly'. How cool is that? Which brings me to the next part which is the score, yeah that blahblahbabaaa part. After hearing that I've decided that all bands should have a trodden coyote in their ensemble. Makes everything thing so much more exciting and interesting. The plot is pretty good too, sometimes convenient/coincidental maybe but also you can see how it's very imaginative to find ways to keep everting from killing each other or running away. It's not just cowboy antics but also civil war antics as flip-flopping sorta soldiers and not really prisoners, which brings it to another level from the first two movies in the trilogy. Also having three big characters keeps you from knowing who will be safe or who could get shot any second. I don't
know enough to comment on much of the filmography stuff but it also seems quality. And different, which I like. Also I'm definitely no film historian but the trilogy this caps gets a lot of credit for starting or at least popularizing the spaghetti western movement which I look at a lot when I'm writing because I find it so interesting and just fun. So I gotta give it some thanks and some props. Cheers la!
