They rode the rest of the way in silence. Both were smiling and occasionally looking at each other. They got to Coles house and didn't realize it but they were holding hands the whole car ride home. Neither stopped as they walked into the house.
They ended up falling asleep on the couch watching "The Voice". Cole woke up in the middle of the night and grabbed a blanket and gently put it over Ashley. He sat back on the couch and turned off the TV. He soon fell asleep and dreamed of Avery.
He tried to push her out of his dreams but he couldn't. Throughout most of the night he just saw her sitting there. Not even blinking. He didn't know what it ment.
The next morning he woke up before Ashley did. He tried not to clang pots and pans together as he made breakfast. Cole wasn't much of a cooker. In fact he had no idea what to do in a kitchen. He instead got out the old toaster and toasted up some toast. He we proud that he at least put in the effort.
"Watcha doin?" Ashley asked as she made her way into the kitchen.
"I tried to make a good breakfast but i'm not skilled in that department. So instead I made toast." Cole said as he held up a plate of burnt toast.
"How...Thoughtful?" Ashley said as she took the plate the set it on the counter next to her. She walked over to the toaster and told cole how to make something that you know...Isn't burnt.
Ashley walked over to the small kitchen table and cleared off all of the strange letters. She picked one up and read it.
"Um...Cole? What's this?" Ashley said as she held out a box of brightly colored peeps.
.-. OOF. If you don't remember... In like part 2 or 3 Avery gave Cole a box of peeps. (Yes I know it said he threw them away but...He got them outta the trash or something. .-.
