THEY HAD BOTH agreed to spend a peaceful day in their hotel before heading back to Nebraska to do some last minute packing. Carmen couldn't have been happier with her life at the moment, with her friends and small family and the love of her life. It was amazing, for both of them.

Carmen sat up in the bed, sitting criss-cross as Chris was on the phone. After confessing some outlandish craving, he offered to call room service just for her, which was more than thankful for. She smiled warmly at Chris as he ended the call and came back to the bed, dipping down on his knees and pressing a kiss to her lips.

"You're lucky I love you, Carmen Mariana Evans." Chris smirked as he whispered the name change.

She giggled as she pulled back slightly. "Calling me Evans already? I don't think we're married quite yet."

Carmen uncrossed her legs and shifted herself to sit on her knees. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a teasing kiss.

"We never did discuss that," Chris murmured, quickly securing his arms around her waist.

"About what?" Carmen questioned.

"If you're changing your name or not." Chris answered. He shrugged slightly, "I mean, it's your choice. It's up to you."

"I've thought about it," she nodded, "I like the sound of Carmen Mariana Evans, but I might keep Holkien on my socials and for work."

"Sounds good to me, baby doll." He hummed softly, pulling her in for a sweet kiss. "You never did tell me why you're having that craving. What's up?"

Carmen rolled her eyes playfully, sitting back down on her thighs and moving her hands down his arms to hold his hands. She smiled sweetly at him and laced their fingers.

"Of course, you're one to change the romantic mood by asking a question," she mumbled. She then quickly grinned, "But to answer your question. Remember what happened on the night you proposed?"

She rose an eyebrow at Chris as he blanked out to think. The incoherent words fell of his lips as he recalled every event that happened that day, like they never left his memory. Which he would not allow them to leave his memory anyway. Once he mouthed the last event that happened that night, his eyes widened and his lips turned up into a grin.

"Oh my god," Chris whispered. His eyes flickered down to her stomach before resuming eye contact with her. Tears began to gather from happiness. "You're pregnant? We're having a baby? I'm a daddy?" He questioned.

"Yes, we're having a baby. You're a daddy, babe." Carmen couldn't help the tears that fell down her cheeks at Chris' reaction.

He let out a strangled cry of happiness as he hugged her tightly, swinging her around and off the bed. Chris sat her down on her feet and kissed her with such passion.

"I'm a dad. Oh my god, we're parents." He murmured. "Who else knows?"

"Just us," Carmen replied, "I wanted you to know first."

Chris kneeled down, laying his hand on her hip softly. He raised his hand slowly, his fingertips dancing under her pajama shirt and lifted it enough to see her flat stomach. He pressed a feather soft kiss to her tanned skin, right above where the baby would be resting.

Carmen gently placed her hand on his head, tangling her fingers in his hair as he rested his forehead against her body. She could hear the small cries of happiness coming from his lips.

"I'm gonna try to be the best father I can be, I promise, little peanut."

He could remember when he was told he was going to be an uncle, this felt like that, only a thousand times better. Chris had wanted this moment for the longest time and now he had with the love of his life.

"Chris, honey, you're going to be a wonderful father." Carmen grinned.

"We don't know yet, do we?" He sniffled, lifting his head to look up at his fiancée. "If the baby is Dylan or Mackenzie."

"You remembered," she whispered, "But uh, no. Not for couple of months, baby. Then we'll know."

Carmen slowly kneeled to the floor, gently cupping Chris' face. Her thumbs gently ran over his cheeks, clearing his face of tears.

"We're gonna do this right, princess. I'm with you every step of the way. The morning sickness, the doctor appointments, the weird cravings and the little kicks. I'm with you for everything."

She smiled, "I knew you'd be a great father, Chris."
