BRIDGET KNEW BETTER. She really did, but she couldn't help the nerves that ate away at her from the thought of tomorrow. She laid in bed, in the dark as she stared at the ceiling.

She couldn't take it any longer, and slowly crawled out of bed. Bridget made her way towards her parents' room, where she heard fits of laughter. It almost made her smile, almost. When she knocked, all laughter seized and her mother beckoned her to come in.

Bridget peeked out from behind the slightly ajar door, and smiled weakly at her parents. Chris automatically knew the look on his daughter's face and gently patted the space next to him on the bed. Without any words, Bridget scrambled to the bed next him, laying her head against his shoulder. Chris pulled some hair from her face and gently kissed her forehead.

"What's eating at you?" He asked, looking down at her.

Bridget sighed, "Tomorrow."

"Oh, mija." Chris whispered softly, "You have nothing to worry about. You are our daughter no matter the outcome, because we love you. He can't take you away from us, we're gonna win this."

"You don't know that," she muttered.

Carmen smiled sadly, rubbing her daughter's back softly. "We are going to win this." She reassured, "He has nothing on us. He may try to put obstacles in our way, but he has nothing on us. We have one of the best lawyers, and we have so much evidence against him. You are ours."

"And we will never stop fighting for you, mija." Chris grinned widely, "Never."

Bridget smiled softly and looked up at her dad, then to her mother. "Thank you."

Carmen kissed her daughter's temple, then looked up at Chris. "We definitely need a vacation after the custody battle."

He laughed and agreed, "Yes, we do, my love. We will figure something out before the baby and school starts."

"Why don't we go to the other room and turn on a movie?" Carmen suggested as she began to climb out of bed. Chris and Bridget agreed, and followed her out towards the living room.

CHRIS HAD GOTTEN up way too early that next morning, although, Bridget was up not too long after him. With her in the shower, Chris had began to make breakfast, since they had a busy today and he used it as a way to distract his mind.

Though they were confident about winning the case, the whole thing made the entire family nervous and on edge.

Chris turned just enough to see when he heard soft footsteps approaching him. He smiled softly as his sleepy fiancée. Carmen slowly got close enough for Chris to wrap her up in his arms and kiss her cheek before finishing the last of the pancakes.

"Morning, princess." He grinned, kissing her again. "Ready for this afternoon?"

"Nope," she sighed, and looked around, no sign of Bridget. "Where's our daughter?"

"Shower," he answered simply as he made three plates. Chris handed a plate to Carmen before he sat down at the dining table and began to eat his breakfast. He shrugged, "She got up after I did, she's only been in there for like ten minutes now."

Carmen nodded, and took a seat next to Chris. They both ate in silence, but Chris did not hesitate to rest a hand on her thigh, mostly for reassurance. He learned that touch had been a simple reassurance move for the both of them, more him than her, however. She did learn to take comfort in it.

"We've got this, right?" Carmen asked as she glanced to Chris.

He nodded, with a soft smile. "We've got this."
