Teenage Dreams (Harry Styles AU)

-Chapter 8

Carter's POV:

      It was the day that Harry and I had been anticipating for awhile. It was the day of our date, and to say that I was nervous would be an understatement. It was Saturday and Louis was over so that he could watch Sam for me as I got ready for the date and then while Harry and have our date.

      My date with Harry is in an hour and I was hurriedly doing my make-up on my bed as I tried getting ready on time. Louis and Sammy were down stairs playing. Louis was very good at keeping her busy and entertained while I got done everything I needed to. I swiped my make-up brush across my cheek bone as my door flew open, creating a bang as the door handle hit the wall. My painted eyes shifted from my mirror to the noise to see Louis strut into my room with a proud smirk on his face. Louis loves causing chaos, it's a sick thrill of his, even if it's as simple as opening a door loudly and startling me. My bed sunk in as Louis placed his big bum onto my bed and made himself comfortable.

       "What do you want?" I asked Louis hesitantly knowing that the smirk on his face was mischievous.  "Oh I was just wondering how long I would be baby sitting Sam. Until Morning?" Louis asked in an innocent voice as he wiggled his eyebrows at me. "Louis!" I yelled. "What? It's a perfectly normal question. When was the last time you got some anyway? You need this." Louis said. I'm sure my face showed pure shock and Louis' laugh rang through my ears as he laughed at it. "Get out." I simply said as I pointed at my bedroom door. "Is that a yes?" Louis continues to laugh at his own joke. "Get out." I repeat trying to keep a straight face.

            Louis stands up from the bed and begins walking to my door. "Get some!" He shouts before running out of my room. I giggled at Louis' behavior and prayed Sam didn't hear Louis' loud announcement as I continued on doing my make up. After a while Samantha came in to my bedroom wearing one of her princess costumes. "Sam help mommy get ready." Sam pouted as she looked up at me with big blue eyes that she got from her father. 

            Sam and I spent awhile getting myself ready and in no time I was all done and ready for my date with Harry. He should be here soon so Sam and I were just doing the finishing touches to my appearance. "Carter! Harry's here!" Louis' voice shouts from downstairs. I can feel the nerves ripple through my body but then I remind myself that it's just Harry. My good friend, Harry. Only he's become a lot closer to me and my daughter than just a "good friend" lately. I grab my things and go downstairs with Sam.

            When we get to the bottom of the stairs we find Harry and Louis waiting and talking in the living room. Once Harry and Louis notice that we've entered the room they stopped talking. Harry's eyes landed on me and his mouth hung open in a stupid fashion, but I'm sure I looked just like him as I noticed Harry and his appearance. He dressed nice for our date to say the least. Harry closed his mouth and smiled at me as he stood from the couch and walked over to me so that he was stood in front of me.

           "Doesn't Mummy look pretty?" Sam asks Harry as she swings back and forth on her feet. She was stood next to us watching our interactions intently and looking over at Louis every few seconds, and I knew that he had something to do with what she just said. Harry looked down at Sam with a large smile on his face. "Yes, definitely. Beautiful." Harry said with a satisfied sigh that made me blush and feel happy with myself. Harry finally leaned in and gave me a quick hug to keep things from getting awkward and he placed a quick kiss to my cheek, I mean it was a date. 

          I smiled widely at Harry's action and bravely grabbed onto his large hand with my own. "Alright well have fun you two and just so you know I'll stay and watch Sammy as long as you need. There is no rush." Louis said with a smirk on his face because I was the only one who knew of his true intentions, he just wanted me to "get some". I was overly happy about going on my date with Harry so I just ignored Louis' comment as I said goodbye to him and Sam.
