Harry's POV:

We had just finished dinner and we were having a really great time together, everything always felt natural with Carter. We were in the car as I drove her back to her house, we were just joking around with each other and having a laugh. Carter and I love banter and she loves to mess with me just like I love messing with her, it's all fun but it always ends with us in hysterics. I held her hand firmly with my own as I turned onto her road with only one hand on the wheel. I'm a strong believer in safe driving but I wasn't about to stop holding her hand for anything, besides I probably would have made the turn with just one hand even if she wasn't here in the car with me.

"You know I truly like you, Carter and I hope that this doesn't end with just a date." I spoke to her, stopping myself from the laugh that had just been racking throughout the car. My eyes shifted from the road to her for a moment and her face displayed pure shock as she ripped her hand out of mine and crossed her arms over her chest. "You're vile Harry. I thought you were different ." She spat at me in a tone that seemed harsh but I knew that she was actually hurt and disappointed in me.

I'll admit I was confused until the miscommunication that had taken place seconds ago popped into my head and I realized what Carter had thought I meant by what I said. To be fair, I should have worded that differently I suppose. "No! That's not what I meant at all! I meant that I just really like you and want to be with you like in a relationship." I was quick to explain once I realized the mistake we had made.

I pull into her driveway and park, as soon as I shut the engine off I look over at her and I can see the realization of our miscommunication on her face. Her lips hold a small gap between them out of surprise. I feel like she should have said something by now, is she speechless? She continues to wordlessly stare out the window of the car but then she does something that makes a lump form in my throat out of nerves. She blindly finds my hand and holds it in hers wordlessly as we sit in my car saying nothing. Skin contact seeming to be all that needs to be said in the moment.

Her small hand in mine causes me to smile at her although she still isn't looking at me, but that's ok. I squeeze her hand in mine to tell her all I need to, because I'm pretty sure neither of us can speak at the moment. She finally looks at me and in a way I wish she hadn't, her eye contact being more powerful than I can handle. Carter and I simultaneously open our car doors and it's slightly scary, but also not. We have gotten used to doing things in sync over the years, that's just the way Carter and I are I guess. The same.

I politely walk Carter to her front door and wait with her on her door step as she fishes for her keys. Once she finds her keys she holds them in her hands and pauses in front of me, and I wonder if I'm meant to be doing something in this moment, because she is looking at me rather expectantly.

"I had a lot of fun tonight Carter. Well... I always have fun when you're around." I spoke softly and unsure. Her cheeks tinted a light shade of pink before she nodded her head in agreement with me. I let out a nervous laugh before slowly leaning into her awaiting body. At least I think it's awaiting. Once she's close enough I lean in all the way and kiss her. My lips lay on hers gently as we stand in front of her door. Her hands wrap themselves around my neck and she moves closer to me as our lips move in sync. I wrap my arms around her and pull her even closer to me. I love the feeling of holding her petite body in my arms.

We kiss awhile longer and just as things start to get intense we pull away from one another but keep our positions in each others arms. I rest my forehead onto hers and giggle along with her. Once the giddy giggling stops the only sound in the air is our breathing in this close proximity. I bite onto my lower lip as we stare deeply into each others eyes and moments later she's doing the same, making me want to kiss her plump lips again.

"I don't think I can go on another date with you." She breathes out. This being the first thing she's said to me in awhile, and to say I was disappointed in her words would be an understatement. I can feel my face fall subconsciously, I wish it hadn't I would have loved to be brave and play it cool in front of Carter, but I knew that wasn't realistic. "Ok. I understand." I whisper back as I pull away from her and take an extra step back to put some distance between us.

She takes a step closer to me and her small hands wrap around my jaw and pull me closer to her. "Not without being your girlfriend." She finished. My eyes that had been avoiding hers immediately shot to her once she had said that. My forehead scrunched up as I looked at her with confusion written all over my face. But seconds later a smile breaks out onto my face as I realize what she means. I grab her waist in my hands and pull her closer to me, laughing at the fact that the span of my hands takes up her entire middle. I peck her lips, happy about this new found information, but we were both smiling so much the kiss wasn't much of a kiss, but neither of us mind.

We pull apart and laugh. "So are you agreeing?" She asked me as she batted her eyes and wrapped her arms around my shoulders, trying to touch my neck but having trouble without me bending down to be closer to her. There was a major height difference between the two of us, but that was the way I liked it. I nod my head to answer her question before leaning in and kissing her again.

Carter's POV:

I woke up the next morning feeling exceptionally happy about the night before and the way things turned out. I was Harry's girlfriend now and I couldn't be happier with that title. I smiled to myself once the wonderful smell of coffee arose. I was quick to get out of bed and run downstairs to the kitchen, in search of the coffee that I had just smelled. I walked into my kitchen and saw Louis standing there holding two mugs of coffee and a smile on his face.

A laugh was released past my lips as I took one of the mugs out of Louis' hand and sat down at the bar stool in the kitchen. "Where's Sam?" I asked him once I noticed how quiet the house was. "Still sleeping." Louis responded before taking a sip from his own mug. "Really? That's not like her, she's usually up by now." I spoke in a confused voice. "I know. Odd." Louis agreed before taking another sip of his coffee. "So, how was it?" Louis questioned after he swallowed down the hot beverage.

A giggle subconsciously left my mouth as I hid my face behind my coffee mug and took long sips from it. "No! You banged him?" Louis whisper shouted in disbelief. I spit up some of my coffee at his statement but was quick to correct him. "No! No. But..." I started as I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks."What? Tell me! Trust me you do not want me to guess." Louis said in his sweet accent. I giggled at the thought of him guessing dirty things that Harry and I had done as I covered my ears with my hands and sung a song loudly to try and drown out the inappropriate things being said in my home. Telling him seemed easier.

"Well, Harry maybe my boyfriend?" I smiled widely as the words left my mouth, I loved the way they sounded. Louis' jaw immediately dropped and I just nodded my head to let him know he had heard it right. He quickly regained his intelligence and closed his mouth before wordlessly pulling me in for a hug. "I'm so happy for you." He mumbled into my hair as he hugged me tightly, I think he may actually be trying to squeeze the life out of me. I smiled against the cloth that covered his shoulder before speaking. "Thank you."

We pull away just as Sammy enters the room still in her pajamas and clutching onto her favorite stuffed toy for dear life, as if someone is going to try and take it from her. "Good morning, gorgeous." I say to my daughter with a smile before picking her up and placing a big kiss to her forehead. "Mummy, how was date with Harry?" She asked me as she rubbed her eyes with her tiny fists, trying to wake up. I have a feeling Louis let her stay up past her bed time last night. Louis and I look at each other as the words leave Samantha's mouth and at the same time we both grin.
