Carter's POV:

It's been two years since my daughter, Samantha and I moved here to England to get away from my old life. Most of my family wonders why I chose England, they think it was random of me to choose here. But, my mother knows why, it's because Louis lives here. Louis is my cousin. Louis and I were best friends growing up. It always amazed our mothers how we remained best friends although we only saw each other during the summers. Since Louis and I were both only children, we both considered ourselves each others siblings. Louis is like the brother that I never had and that is why I chose to move here near him. His family lives in Doncaster, but he moved to Cheshire with his best friend just before I decided to move myself.

I decided to move to Cheshire to be closer to Louis rather than, Doncaster, which is closer to his family, who I don't know too well. I still can't believe it's been two years that I've been away from home, in America. Samantha is almost three, her birthday is in two months. Most people are shocked when they find out I had her at 16, but it feels like it's been so long since then.

Every time my mother calls or visits, she asks if there is a man in my life and I always tell her no. I'm just not ready for that. Ever since Samantha's dad left me, I just can't trust anyone anymore. He was my first boyfriend and all he did was get me pregnant and then leave me and his daughter. Boys flirt with me sometimes and sometimes I flirt back, but it doesn't mean anything. I wouldn't actually give them a chance. Most of them don't even know about Samantha before they flirt with me. Well except for Liam, Louis' best friend. Liam and Louis are over our house all of the time, Liam loves to play with Samantha and it doesn't seem to bother him that I'm her mother. He flirts with me way too much though, I don't think that Liam and I would ever be able to work out anyway.

However, there is this one guy I go to school with. His name is Harry. Him and I are the only two people repeating our final year of school. I don't know why he is repeating his, and he doesn't know why I'm repeating mine, and I hope that stays that way. He's the only one that I talk to at our school, which makes him feel untouchable towards everybody else. He is also the worst when it comes to flirting with me, he's shameless. I like Harry a lot, I truly do. But, Harry doesn't know about Samantha, and that worries me. I wonder how he would react to finding that out. Or if he would end up acting like the guy I thought that he wasn't and telling everyone at school. I just can't take that chance.

It was early in the morning on a freezing cold Tuesday. Samantha and I just finished breakfast and getting ready for our day. We are now driving in my car to her daycare she is in the backseat in her car seat playing with her doll. "Mummy! What's for snack time?" Samantha asked with a slur, called her baby voice. Since Samantha was raised in England but she was also raised by an American mother. Samantha has a British accent, however certain words she pronounces with an American accent. She also goes back and forth calling me 'mommy' and 'mummy'. I blame that on Louis.

We pulled up to her day care that's on the other side of town. I pulled her out of her car seat and handed her doll to her. I yanked the car seat out of the car and held her hand as we walked inside. Samantha let go of my hand once she saw her best friend and ran over to her and began playing. I handed her car seat to Anna, the women who runs the day care. She is very sweet and understanding, she has been like my second mother since I've moved here. She was the only person that I would trust Samantha alone with other than Louis. Most of the mothers at the day care are very judgmental towards Samantha and I's situation but Anna is very understanding and helps in anyway she can. I keep Sam's car seat here so that no one at school sees it in my car, especially Harry. I ran back to my car to grab Sam's day bag of snacks, toys, change of clothes and a few diapers. She's almost out of diapers, I can't wait until she doesn't need a diaper at all. And of course I packed Wiggy, her favorite stuffed animal that she can't sleep with out, for nap time. I said goodbye to Anna and gave Samantha a big hug and a kiss on her brown hair before leaving. I hate leaving her there everyday, but I know that she loves it and is having fun. I just wish I could spend all day long with my baby.
