Teenage Dreams (Harry Styles AU)

-Chapter 4

Carter's POV:

       "When are we going to see Harry again?" Sam asks me for the hundredth time this week. It's two weeks until Halloween and Samantha really wants to see Harry before she goes trick-or-treating. "I'll ask Harry." I responded to my smart little girl. It's Saturday so Harry might be free if I call him. I find my phone and begin to dial his number. He picks up only after the second ring. "Hello?" Harry's rough yet excited voice answers.

     "Hey Harry. Are you busy?" I ask in a sweet voice. "No. I'm not." Harry responds. "Oh, ok. Well Sam would like to ask you something." Harry's loud laugh fills my ears before his voice. "Ok." Sam's pudgy fingers grab the phone from me and pull it down to her ear. She thinks she can hold it on her own, but I help press the phone to her ear, so she doesn't drop it or accidentally hang up. "When you coming over? When you see me and mommy?" Sammy asks Harry. I could hear Harry's laugh and that made Sammy giggle too. "Hmmm. Whenever, Samantha." Harry speaks slowly into the phone. "Now. Hawwy. Come now?" Sam asks. "Please." I whisper to Sam and she quickly speaks to Harry. "Pwease." Harry's laugh makes an appearance once again before saying. "If mummy says yes."  Harry says into the phone. I can't help but blush at that. He's so adorable and well... not an idiot. I don't want to get ahead of myself but I really like Harry and he's so good with Sam and he's not like all of the other idiots our age he's mature and smart and well... everything Sam and I need.

             There was a knock at the door and Sam ran with me to the door to get it. Once I opened the door, she practically tackled Harry's knees in a hug. Harry laughed then bent down to hug her properly. "I want you to know, that you are the first person that she started liking like right away." I spoke truthfully to Harry. Harry's face showed pure shock and I knew he was flattered that my sweet little girl had taken a liking to him.

         The three of us agree to go to the local indoor aquarium today. Samantha really wanted to go there and Harry seemed to think it was a great idea too. We all go and have a blast. I love beluga whales, so I loved seeing them, and growing up with spongebob, I also loved to see the jellyfish and starfish and well you know the rest. Sam ran off to look at the baby turtles and I was ok with that because I could see her and they were in a closed tank, so she couldn't fall in. The aquarium really wasn't crowded, there was barely anyone there, and I like giving Sammy a little bit of freedom in times like these. She is little, but she deserves to have a bit of alone time, we all do. As I stared at Sammy from a bit of a distant I had almost forgot that Harry was standing next to me. "I just want you to know how glad I am that we're doing this. You know Samantha is just great, you two are so much alike." Harry speaks. I smile at him and nod my head. "I know." I smile as I look back at my daughter pressing her hands and nose against the glass to feel a little bit closer to the sea turtles.

           Once we leave the aquarium Samantha and Harry are hungry so we stop at a restaurant to eat. Sammy and I were sitting together so I could cut her food and feed her and make sure she didn't eat anything she shouldn't or do anything she shouldn't. She's a good baby, but she's still learning, everyone is. There was a quick moment of silence at the dinner table and Samantha quickly said. "Do you love each other?" Sam asks in her baby voice. A blush falls on my cheeks and I hesitantly look up to find Harry's cheeks match mine. Before I could answer my adorable daughter, Harry beat me to it. "I'm working on it." He whispered to Sam. I'm sure my pink blush just turned to a scarlet red. 

         "Well, I don't have a daddy, but if I could choose a daddy... I choose you." Sam says. By the look on Harry's face I can tell he feels the exact same way that I do right now, completely blown away.

Wow, I haven't updated this story in a long time. I forgot how much I enjoy writing it. I hope to be updating it a lot more consistently now.
