Shizuka's pov
Okay....Deep breaths. Today is finally Eisuke's birthday. Today is the day I finally tell him how I feel. I am so freaking nervous...but there is no turning back now.
Me, Soryu and Luke have arranged a little party for Eisuke in the evening. Just the four of us. I wanted Amy to come, but she is not very great friends with Soryu or Eisuke. Luke gets along with everyone. I will tell Eisuke after the party.
I made him a scrapbook which contains all our photos, inside jokes, old experiences, sweet messages and finally on last page I have written 'I love you.' Now all I have to do is wait patiently.

In the evening.
Eisuke was surrounded by his groupies the whole day and he got tons of gifts. I am really anxious.
Me and luke are waiting outside the school while Soryu brings Eisuke.
After some time Eisuke comes with soryu.
Shizuka: Happy birthday Eisuke!
Luke: Happy Birthday!
Soryu: Yeah happy birthday, hope you have a wonderful year.
Eisuke: Thanks. But now, no need of formalities. We are going to party right?
Soryu: We are not going all out. It is just a small party.
Eisuke: hmmm. So then I should go with those other girls from before I guess... They are so excited for my birthday.
He says in a teasing tone.
Shizuka: Oh you enjoy their company so much? Fine go on then! Come on guys, let us enjoy ourselves.
Luke: But isn't Eisuke the birthday boy?
Shizuka: I don't care anymore!
I act as if I am irritated and start walking.
Suddenly Eisuke comes from behind and puts his arm around my shoulder.
Eisuke: Aww, our princess got all angry.
Shizuka: humph.
Eisuke: Come on now, don't you wanna celebrate my birthday?
Shizuka: Fine. But promise you will stop being mean.
Eisuke: hmmm, I won't guarantee anything...but okay.
Shizuka: *sigh* lets go!!
Soryu: Finally.
Luke: we better get back before its too late though.

We all go to a nearby restaurant and enjoy ourselves.
Soryu gives Eisuke a coffee mug. Luke gives him a book.
Luke: what gift are you going to give Shizuka? You were working on it whole week long.
Shizuka: Ummm... I will give it to him when we get back.
Soryu gives me a meaningful glance and says.
Soryu: Its getting late. We should head back.
Shizuka: Yeah!!
Oops..I sounded more excited than I should be.
Eisuke: I am really looking forward to your gift but don't forget I am still going to ask for the gift I have in mind from you.
Shizuka: O-okay.
Soryu: If you guys have finished whispering to yourselves, shall we leave?
Shizuka: Sorry, lets go!
When we head back to the school hostel Soryu takes Luke and goes somewhere.
He did it so me and Eisuke will be alone. What a great friend. The girls dormitory and boys dormitories are in different sections so first I have to bring my gift from my room.
Shizuka: Umm, Eisuke, will you wait at our usual place for me? I will be back in a few minutes.
Eisuke: Hmm, this better be good. You know I hate waiting.
Shizuka: Yes..thanks.
I run to my room and grab the scrap book.
Its not very late but I still rush to our hideout near the school careful that no one sees me.
When I reach there, Eisuke is sitting on our usual rock. He notices me and I sit down besides him.
Shizuka: So, happy birthday again Eisuke.
Eisuke: Thanks. I had fun today...surprisingly. But now, how about you give me your gift.
Shizuka: okay...wait, first you tell me what you want me give you.
Eisuke: No. Ladies first.
Shizuka: Hey, thats not fair. I won't give this to you if you don't tell me first.
Eisuke: Fine, don't. But I won't tell you either.
Shizuka: Ugh... You are such a jerk.
Eisuke: Thanks for the compliment.
Shizuka: Humph. Here is your gift.
Eisuke opens the wrapping paper and opens the scrap book. As soon as he opens it his eyes go wide.
Eisuke: Shizuka, you made this for me?
Shizuka: Yes...do you like it? I know its not much but you already have everything and I wanted to give you something special. I totally understand if you think its stupid but you know I would really appreciate if you would keep it....
Eisuke: Did I ever say I didn't like it?
Shizuka: so, you like it?
Eisuke: Hmm, its not bad.
He says with his usual teasing grin on his face.
Shizuka: Eisuke!
Eisuke: I really love that face. But Seriously, this is really so wonderful. Just shows how much time we have spent together before.
Shizuka: yeah....Umm, Eisuke?
Eisuke: yes?
Shizuka: thats not all though.
Eisuke: There is more?
Shizuka: Will you flip through last page.
Eisuke opens the last page and freezes.
Oh no.....this is it. What was I thinking?! Of course he doesn't love me! I am so embarrassed right now.
Eisuke: Shizuka.....
I close my eyes and start babbling.
Shizuka: I know you must hate me right now! I am so sorry! I really wasn't thinking straight and I-I...
Suddenly, I feel Eisuke tugging on my arm and the next thing I know I have been pinned to the ground. I look up at Eisuke, startled. Eisuke is above me gazing intently in my eyes.
Shizuka: Eisuke...?
Eisuke: Shizuka....tell me how you feel.
Shizuka: huh?
Eisuke: What you wrote there. Tell me is it true?
Shizuka: yes....
Eisuke: Then I want to hear it from you.
Shizuka: Eisuke, I....I love you. I know you might not love me back but still...that is how I feel.
Eisuke: Did I say I don't love you?
Shizuka: well no but...huh wait, you mean...you love me too?
Eisuke: heh. Took you long enough to figure out.
Shizuka: Eisuke......!!
Eisuke: Since we both share the same opinion, there is no need of artifice now.
Shizuka: huh? Eisuke- mmmmm.
Without a moment's delay, Eisuke's lips are on mine. His kiss is gentle at first but soon it deepens and before I know it, I have completely surrendered to him.
After a long kiss he finally pulls away.
Eisuke: Finally you are mine.
Shizuka: what do you mean?
Eisuke: I have wanted to do this for ages now. I didn't know how you felt.
Shizuka: I felt the same way!
Eisuke: I will show every man in the world you are mine so that no one tries to take you away from me.
Shizuka: I won't go anywhere. I am yours.
Eisuke: Thats my good girl. Anyway, you don't have the choice in the matter now.
Shizuka: hehe. Okay. Hmm, by the way, what is that gift you wanted from me before?
Eisuke: That...well I was going to ask you out but you did it first I guess.
Shizuka: Really?! Aww, I feel like I wasted my energy in making all this then.
Eisuke: Hey, I love it.
Shizuka: hehe, I am glad.
Eisuke: whatever. Turn around.
Shizuka: huh?
I do as he says and I feel a metallic chain around my neck.
I look down to find a beautiful pendant with the letter 'E' on it.
Eisuke: This is the proof that you are mine.
Shizuka: Its so beautiful.
Eisuke: Not as beautiful as you are.
I blush at his comment. We really are starting a new relationship from now on. Eisuke is mine and I am his. I am going to stay by his side forever. This sweet chain dangling down my neck is a prelude to our love.....
