Keith: Why is it always like this? "Why can't I be normal?" Why am I different than everyone else? I sigh, then look at my blade. "What do you even mean?" I hear footsteps and decide to put it back. My door opens and Shiro appears. "Shiro?" "Keith, I think we should talk. Privately." I look around. "Where to?" "My room." I jolt. "Sure." I follow him to his room and he has us sit down. "Is everything alright Shiro?" "That's actually what I wanted to ask you." "Huh?" I tilt my head in confusion. "Why do you ask?" He sighs. "You just seem to be lonelier than usual. More distant." "Oh, you think so. I'm just being me really." He shakes his head. "It's different. I just feel like something is on your mind and your just not telling anyone." I force a smile. "Really.... nothing is different I promise. I'm the same." He smiles. "Alright, just remember. If you ever need someone to talk to." I nod and leave. He worries too much. He should be paying attention to the people that really matter. He's the leader. Or.... maybe I should try to be more social. I get to my room and look in the mirror. "Lance does stuff like this." What- I think about stuff I've seen the rest do. They always try to smile. I look deep in the mirror. "I-I" I stop talking and just force a smile. I look to see it's not right.
I try smiling again. "Agh! I can't do it!" I hear a thump and turn. "Who's there!?" I run over and I hear a crash. I look to see Lace had run into my door before it opened. "Lance!?" "Oh, hi Keith. What's up." He looks around. "Oh! This isn't my room!" I try to hold in laughter, but I end up holding the wall to keep myself from falling. "You're such a dork." He chuckles. "I'm no dork!" I laugh harder. "You hah seriously.... thought hahahah this way your room hahahahah!" He gets up close to me. "Well, I guess it helped in the end." He points at the mirror and when I look over I see something that surprised me more than I could have ever thought. "Look, you're smiling." I-It's not forced or fake. It's a genuine- I smile wider. He smirks. "It's a nice change from the brooding." I end up hugging him. "Thank you.... Lance." He jolts as his face turns red. "Um don't see-" He stops himself. "I go uh bye!" He runs off and I end up chuckling. I continue to look in the mirror. Thank you.
