Meeting Again

Lance: It's been a long time since Keith left, and we only see him every now and then. I wonder when we can see him face to face again.... "Lance?" I look up to see Allura. "I have seen you have been a little lonely lately." I jolt. "Really?" She nods. "I understand what it's like missing a friend, so we should talk." A friend? Oh yeah.... "Sure." She smiles brightly. "Lets walk." I get up and follow her. "Lance, I know it seems a little rough, but do know that we are all here for you. Especially me." "Huh?" What does she mean by that? She puts her hands behind her back. "We are a team Lance, and I think you and I both being paladins of the Blue Lion shows we have similar auras." I slightly smile. "Really?" She nods. "Of course. We probably can relate more than with anyone else." Wait. "But I also pilot the Red that Keith originally had. And him and Shiro with the Black Lion." She snickers. "Yeah, but to be honest I feel Blue means a little more. I know I have not said this before, but the Blue Lion was seen as motherly. She chooses those who are insecure or have doubts." "I see." She turns in front of me. "Lance, we share a bond that is special. Remember that when you are feeling troubled." I slightly nod, then she says her goodbyes. I watch her walk away and blush a little. "A special bond." It sounds nice for a change. I smile. Yeah.

                                                                                ~Days later~

Lance: "Lance watch out!" Allura warns me. I dodge a Galra enemy. We are in the middle of finally defeating what is left of Zarkon's forces, but it is difficult. "A force field has been put up. We can't destroy the ship and that cannon until it's gone." Pidge yells. I think about the situation. What are we going to do. Matt comes on the intercom. "Somebody stop Keith!" We all look to see the ship Keith piloted. "It's heading towards the force field!" Hunk exclaims. What are you doing!? No... no no no no. In a matter of seconds we see him almost end his life, until a blast is emitted. It's from Lotor!? He comes on the intercom. "We should have a discussion." We all return to safety, when I frantically look for Keith. "Is everything alright Lance?" I turn to see Allura. I try to hide my desperation. "Oh uh yeah, I just am looking for uh Keith." Her hand goes onto my shoulder. "It's alright Lance. I understand, you can't hide it from me." I sigh. "I figured." She smiles. "He's in his old room. Why don't you go say hello." I smile and nod. "Thank you." I run to his room. I open the door, and there he is.

               "Keith!?" He turns, and waves. "Hey Lance. It feels nice being victorious." I walk over, and slap him in the face. "What were you thinking? Were you even thinking at all!? You tried to sacrifice yourself! And for what!?" He stays silent. I grab him, and pull him into a hug. "You scared us all." I feel him hold me. "I'm sorry, I just kinda reacted." I step back and sigh. "You seem to do that a lot." He slightly giggles. "Yeah. Listen, after being with the Blades I have helped with so much." I smile. "That's great." He nods. "Yeah it is. But the thing is....There is so much more  I can do, so I want to focus on that right now." I jolt, but then try to not show the shock. "Yeah of course, isn't that what we are all trying to do?" He nods. "Thank you for understanding." I smile. "Yeah." I go to the door. "Hey and no more risky business alright?" He smiles. "Okay." I leave, and then walk to my room. The door shuts, and I fall to the ground. I guess that's how it's going to be now. Tears fall. I have been put through a plot twist....
