Alright important announcement before you read. I have created another Klance fanfic and let me just say it is even better. I have worked really hard and it is a really cool read. It is in the setting of America where normal high school kid Lance becomes involved in a gand called Voltron, who has been fighting the Galra for a long time. It even has a little more fan service which is always nice. Hope you go to read it! Alright, now I'll let you go back to why you really came here.

Lance: Shiro is back, and he seems to be overall OK. That's good, now Keith can focus. My face goes grim at that thought as I put my hand on the couch. I can feel it sink. That also means that we have our original paladins left. Would I go back to Blue? "Allura you're doing so well with Blue!" I jolt at the sound of Pidge. She must be talking to Allura. "Thank you. I have been working very hard to catch up with everyone. However, I wish Keith would lead us more. He is always with the blades, and we can tell it is irritating Shiro. " "Catch up? You have surpassed most of us, and Keith is just being Keith. Besides, once Shiro has fully recovered he will lead us again." Allura giggles, I look down at the ground. I could never. Shiro becoming leader again? Would I go back to Blue? Allura does well with Blue, better than I did. I can't expect Keith and Shiro to duke out the Black lion, so I should expect Keith to come back to Red. Red is cool and all, but I still am getting use to his personality. Keith handled him so naturally, he is amazing.

"You alright?" I jump a little, and look up to see Hunk. I nod. "Yeah, I guess I'm just tired." Hunk looks at me with worry. "You should go back to your room then, so far we don't have any threats so take this time to gather yourself again. Especially since we have been waiting for Shiro to lead us again." I smile. "Thanks Hunk." He smiles, and walks away. I stand up, and walk through the halls. What will I do? Should I just... give up? Well, I am not really needed anymore anyway. Everyone would be better off if I left now that I think about it. I'm just the seventh wheel. I look up, and see that I subconsciously went to Keith's room. I clench my fists. That's OK. If they can do better  without me then they should. We are trying to defeat the Galra; that's all that matters. I knock.

Keith: "Come in." I see my door open, and in walks Lance. "Hey man, I wanted to talk to you about something that has been on my mind." I blush a little. "It must be really important if you're coming to me." He looks at me with sadness in his eyes. "Well, you are our leader." My redness goes away. Oh. "That's true." He thinks about something, and bites his lip. "With  Shiro back that means he will take the Black Lion back; that also means you will want Red, but Allura has come farther with flying Blue than any of us. This isn't a participation thing; it's war, so I think it would be best for me to step down." My eyes widen. He doesn't really mean that, right? I need to cut this in the bud right now. We can't have him leave. I can't have him leave. "What are you talking about? Lance you are an important part of our team, no one can replace you.... Just focus on your missions for now, and we will discuss this when the time comes." He looks down, and starts walking away. "And Lance, leave the math to Pidge." Lance smirks,  and closes the door.

Should I just leave it at that? Was that enough? I don't know.... I am not really the person to talk to. I clench my fists. No. I bust out of my door, and sprint. I see him, and try to stop myself; however, my leg gives a little and I do not stop. I run into him and we fall to the floor. "Keith!?" "Lance that was what I wanted to say as a leader! But now I know what I really want to say...." Will I tell him? Will he even understand? I- I.... "I need you Lance!" I blush, and so does he. "Wh-What do... you mean by that Keith?" I become furiously red up to my ears. I take his hand and take him back to my room. I do not want him to leave, he has the passion and the maturity that non of us have. I can fix this... and I know how. My door closes, and we are alone in my room.

"I-I... love you." I said it! His eyes widen.  "You...." I let him go. "But also, you are not just the most important to me, you are also important to everyone else, so I will fix this." He is frozen. I knew it.... He doesn't know how to react. "How-" I jolt. "- can I know you are not lying." He madly blushes. Does he want me to.... I walk over, and I feel him cup my cheeks. "If you do, you won't mind, right?" My face's heat increases. This is happening. It really is happening. "Do it." He gulps, and looks down at my lips. He leans in, but stops. He walks back a little. "I see. You weren't lying." He leaves my room, and I am left lost. Well... at least I know what I need to do. I contact the Marmora. "I'll accept the mission."

Lance: "Where is Keith!?" Allura yells. I become nervous. Am I the reason he isn't here? "He went on a mission, I will try to pilot the Black Lion." We hear Shiro in the intercom. "This is ridiculous." Pidge scoffs. Now I'm really nervous. Keith... where are you? "I'm here!" We all look to see Shiro, but it doesn't calm me. We form Voltron, and defeat the Galra fleet. "Keith has returned." Coran informs us. We need to go back. This must have been because I-I.... We return, and he waits. "Well look who decided to show up." Hunk sarcastically says. Keith stares at all of us. I stiffen up. What is going on? He walks closer to us. "I've decided to leave Voltron." We all look at him in shock. Leaving... but- I will fix this. Now I know what he meant by that. I look at him, and see he tries to keep a smile. We all rush to hug him. "Now who am I supposed to make fun of?" I speak with a hint of grief. I just continues to smile, but I can see his eyes. They say something else.

I walk to Keith's room, and see he is packing what little stuff he has. He notices me. "H-Hey Lance." I just continue to look at him. He stops packing. "It's weird... leaving here I mean." He looks around. "I'm going to miss this place." "You didn't have to do this for me you know." He jolts. "Wha... What do you mean?" Tears form in my eyes. "You're doing this because I was going to leave. This is how you we going to 'fix this'. Fix my doubts." His hands shake a little. "Look. You're an important paladin, and I have found my purpose elsewhere. It was a happy coincidence that it help-" "Cut the crap Keith." I walk closer, and hold his hand. "You're terrible at lying to me." His grip on my hand tightens. "OK. Yes, this was my plan of keeping you in Voltron. You belong here, and I am needed elsewhere. So, I decided to leave." I feel a tear hit my hand. "I know it's selfish, but I hope you understand one day." I touch his chin, and lift his head. I lean in, but this time I won't chicken out. I get closer, and closer; until our lips touch. After that, I leave. "I hope to see you again, Keith." He smiles as he wipes a tear. "Yeah."
