Man Up

Keith: Everything is turning me downward in a spiral on anxiety and insecurity. Shiro wants me to be prepared to.... I stop myself. It won't ever happen, so I won't worry. Right now I'll celebrate with everyone else I walk around when I see Pidge look out of the balcony of the castle. I walk over. She looks deep in thought. I stand beside her. "Hey Pidge, is everything alright?" She confusingly looks at me. "To be honest; everything has been weird." "Weird how?" She sighs. "Well.... I learned that Shiro had a past with my father and brother, and that he was with my brother when he was captured. They have history, so I opened up to him more than anyone else other thn my family; and now, Allura is ating weird around me. There is also you and Lance." "Lance.... and me?" She scoffs. "Don't think I can't see IT. I may not be the best at relationships, but I can see a bond you have with Lance easily." I look at her with nothing but questions. "W-What are you talking about?" She smirks. "Man up Keith, you can't hide it." She giggle, but I still don't know. "It's no secret, almost everyone knows." I smirk. "I don't talk about secrets from you." She bluhes as I walk away. "Wh-" "See ya later Pidge." She walks over and grabs my wrist. "We will see, Keith." She walks away and I see Lance and Hunk. I smile seeing Lance in a habitat he loves. He loves the crowds and the people; it might be because of his large family. I walk over and I see them laughing.  I join the group and Lance does a little jig. "When I say Vol you say tron. Vol...." Hunk says nothing, and I'm a bit confused. "V-Voltron?" He shakes his head. "No I say vol and you say?" "Voltron?" He sighs in defeat. "We'll work on it." I frown a little feeling like I missed it.... well I did but.... I don't know. He leaves to get another drink ad I laugh with Hunk as we mess around. However.... I still feel some unease.

Lance: It's been a while since the party and I've woken up from my coma? Maybe? Whatever you call it all I know is that when I woke up Keith was almost in tears. However, he hides it when everyone else gathers. Hunk is still upset. It's because of Shay. The Balmera are still in danger and he wants to help then.... help her. We later sit at the table all and talk as I eat something, and I feel a little lost. I come back to it when they talk about how Keith carried me. "Yeah I don't remember." He frowns. "What!? We had a bonding moment! I cradled you in my arms!" "Nope, don't remember." Keith looks away pouting as we continue to discuss what all has happened. Then, Hunk speaks. "We have to get back to the Balmera and save Shay and her people." I look up at him. "Wow! You are really hung up on this lady." He flinches in embarrassment. "No, it's not like that. Look.... guys; when you seen how Zarkon has treated these people and destroyed their homes, they've been under his thumb for so long they don't even know what it means to be free. It's up to us to set this right. This is what being a paladin of Voltron is about. It's time to man up." Pidge's smile lowers. Shiro picks up. "Then let's get moving. Time to go defend the universe." He walks away and we all get ready to follow him. "Wait." We stop, and look at Pidge. "I have something to say first. I need to come clean and I'm afraid this may change the way you all think about me." What!? The way we think about him!? What illegal crime has he committed..... or or.... I can't even think of anything else! My stomach churns from the anxiety. What is it Pidge!? "Just so there are no secrets between us anymore.... I can't man up. I'm a girl." My mind explodes. WWWWHHHAAATTT!!!??? She tilts her head as she continues. "W-Well, uh I mean I can man up because that's just a figure of speech I don't have to actually be a man to man up I just have to be tough, but what I'm saying-" I freak out. "WHA YOU'RE A GIRL!? HOW!?" She jumps surprised by my outburst. Everyone else is surprisingly calm. Allura smiles. "I've known for some time, but I'm glad you've shared it with everyone." Hunk smirks. "Yeah I figured." Even Keith!? "Oh yeah me too." Coran leans toward Allura. "Wait, we-we were suppose to think you were a boy." Finally, Shiro looks at hi-her peacefully. "Pidge, owning who you are is going to make you a better paladin." Pidge sighs in relief. "It's good to get that off my chest. Now let's launch this castle ship!" I still look with my mouth gawking open, but then flinch as they leave shaking my head. "Wait What!? Pidge is a girl and the castle is a ship!? How long have I been out!?" I then follow then and I can see Keith trying to hold in a chuckle. I smile; its better than that frown of his. I chuckle at that thought as we go to save Shay and her people.
