The entire city of Thebes was in euphoria. The being that had plagued them for one hundred and eighty two nights was gone from Thebes for good. Serina had explained the next morning that the Hun-Ply could no longer remain in a certain area after being banished. Every single person was rejoicing.Pharaoh Amenemhet had decreed that a week of festivities would commence to celebrate the exile of the wretched Hun-Ply. Egyptians from the palace and from the city around it were gathered as one in equality. Such occurrences were truly rare. For a full week, there would be no such thing as social status.
Music was being played. Even Nothile's priests were enjoying themselves. Nothile was dancing with Serina. The duo swayed and spun to the tempo they were hearing.
Serina had to admit; Nothile was a pretty good dancer. What astonished her was the restraint the High Priest was displaying. She had been included in two other celebrations and she had had to dance with the man that had had a part in defeating the Hun-Ply; the men could not resist groping her posterior despite the fact that she had not shown the slightest interest. She supposed that was why she was astounded that Nothile was acting civilized.
"You know, I believe that you are the first man I have danced with that has not tried to fondle my rear end." Serina confided to her dance partner.
Nothile snorted and responded in Serina's ear, "I would not doubt it. Most males are not as...private in their endeavors as I am. I prefer to have relations in the privacy of my bedchambers. Of course, I would be delighted to grope you later on, if you would like to pay my private quarters a visit tonight."
Serina smiled and replied, "You mean pay a visit to your bed. Nothing would please me more."
"Perhaps," Nothile whispered in Serina's ear, "I can rid you of your anal purity."
Serina gulped. She had always heard that rutting with a phallus in your anal cavity was supposed to be an entirely different sort of pleasure. Nothile looked at her with concern. Had he said something to upset her?
"Do not worry. I do want that, but I am quite nervous." Serina said.
"Have you thought about when you want to become my mate?" Nothile asked, changing the subject as he twirled her around once.
"We would have to tell my father. After that, the sooner the better." Serina answered.
"You would have to tell me what?" Shalom asked, sneaking up on the duo.
Nothile slightly jumped at the abrupt sound. Serina rolled her eyes, annoyed. She hated when her father did that. Shalom simply looked curious as he waited for an answer.
"I have asked your daughter to be my Bonded." Nothile stated simply.
Shalom turned to his daughter and asked, "And your response, Daughter?"
"I have accepted. We were just talking of when the Mating customs are to be carried out." Serina replied, confident.
"The sooner, the better, I suppose." Shalom laughed.
It took everything Nothile had not to laugh. He could certainly tell that Serina and Shalom were related in more ways than one! The two had just said the exact same thing within a span of five minutes! He remembered that he and his own father used to do the exact sane thing when there was something that they agreed on.
"I have been thinking of one of the minor traditions for a while now. Serina, I like the idea of calling you my 'Dearest Moon'." Nothile remarked.
Serina smiled lovingly and responded, "That sounds so perfect. I myself have had the thought of calling you 'My Sun And Stars'."
Shalom rolled his eyes at the two. He and Serina's mother were not as gushy as his daughter and her suitor. It almost made him sick to his stomach. He approved of the High Priest, but there was only so much talk of love he could handle.
