Currently, Nothile was resting from his injuries just two hours ago. Hessa refused to leave his side. Molahs and Takai were going over Takai's lessons so that the five year old wouldn't see his father in such a state. Chandrakant was polishing the weapons from the dojo in the kitchen.

Akiva and Trinity were in the family room. Akiva had thought about what could have happened had his brother-in-law been killed. The experience made him realize that life isn't always easy. Sometimes, you have to get past your shyness and discomfort to get what you want.

Taking a deep breath, Akiva said, "Trinity?"

Trinity replied, "Yes?"

Akiva gulped before continuing, "I need to tell you something. I-i-i-i have liked you from the moment I set eyes on you. I don't mean 'I want to be your friend' or 'I think you're a good influence for my sister' kind of like. I mean 'I'm in love with you' kind of like."

"Oh, Akiva! Do you mean it?" Trinity gushed.

Akiva nodded and asked, nervous, " May I take you for a movie or dinner sometime?"

Trinity chuckled before responding, "I'll still be in town Friday night. Maybe we could catch a movie and eat dinner."

Akiva beamed and returned, "Great! I know this great restaurant. And there's a movie I've heard of that would be perfect."

Trinity smiled and replied, "Great. I'm staying at the Thesary Hotel, floor fourteen and room fourteen zero eight."

"Okay. I'll pick you up at six, we'll eat, then catch that movie?" Akiva asked.

"Sounds like a plan." Trinity affirmed.

Akiva knocked on the door. He was wearing black slacks, a white dress shirt, and black platform shoes. His long, white hair was tied up in a ponytail to keep it out of his face. Cologne wafted off of him in a pleasant aroma.

The door opened to reveal Trinity. She was wearing an elegant, lavender gown. Her green eyes sparkled and lavish earrings hung from her ears. Extravagant perfume filled Akiva's delicate nose.

"You look...stunning." Akiva remarked, enamored with the splendour before him.

Trinity blushed lightly and replied, "Thank you. You look quite handsome."

It was Akiva's turn to blush. "Thanks. Shall we go?"

Akiva extended his elbow. Trinity giggled and hooked her arm in the offered loop. Akiva sighed in pure happiness. The woman that was his soul's other half, his true love, was walking by his side looking more beautiful in his eyes than any could ever hope to compare.

Dinner was filled with stories and laughter. The movie Akiva had chosen proved to be the perfect choice. After the end credits, Akiva thought it was too soon for them to part. He decided to take Trinity for a stroll around town.

Around midnight, the couple decided that it was time to head back to Trinity's hotel. To Trinity, Akiva had been a perfect gentleman. She had dated a few men and each had tried to grope her or had done something that made her feel like a whore. It was different with Akiva, however, and she felt the exact opposite.

All too soon, they reached Trinity's hotel room. With a kiss to Akiva's cheek, Trinity bid Akiva good night and said that she had had a good time. Akiva returned the 'good night' and hoped that they could go out again sometime. Trinity smiled, promised that she could arrange to stay in town and she would be free the next Sunday, and shut the door.

Akiva sighed in contentment. Though he knew he was firmly on the ground, he felt as if he was walking on air. With the caress of Trinity's lips on his cheek, Akiva headed home. Upon entering the mansion, he discovered that both his father and brother were waiting for him.
