BILLIE'S FLAME!
Camille had us in this tiny elevator. And I hated every second of it.
Not only did she mange to cause some sort of ripple between Magnus and Alec, but she had us following her around like puppies. And it really sucked, when all I wanted to do was punch er in the face.
She opened the elevator gates and walked into her cozy apartment.
As soon as we stepped foot into her place, it was filled with books. This was gonna belike finding a needle in a damn haystack! I walked over to one of the book shelves and looked for the book of the white.
There were more than a hundred books here, this was gonna take a while.
I tuned out what everyone was saying but watched Camille like a hawk. Simon may have said he'd sign that pardon but what would it matter if I run a nice little stake through her? She'd be gone, that's for sure.
Watching from the corner of my eye, I saw her prick him with her little feather pen and lead him to the contract. He looked to me and Clary before signing on the contract any chance of getting Camille legally handled.
He finished signing and Clary got off the ladder and strutted towards Camille, asking her for the book no doubt. Somethings wrong.
I watched Camille lead her to a book case, where she pointed to some books.
"But I can't. I have no idea where it is." She got what she wanted. No link to killing Simon and out of that coffin where the vamps were keeping her.
I walked up to her slowly, my fists baled at my sides. "Tell us where the hell you put it or so help me I will drive a whole tree through you." I breathed at her and she could help with that dirty smirk again.
"I'm sure it's here somewhere. But if the idea was to hide it, telling me would defeat the purpose. Dot must have put it somewhere when I wasn't looking." She laminated to all of us and I lazily nodded my head at her. Crossing my arms over my chest I watched her closely.
One more sly little comment and I was gonna punch her.
"So we have to search the whole apartment?" Clary questioned look gin to Simon and me.
"See, that's the spi-" Before she could finish that stupid sentence, My first connected with her nose. I thought vampires had quick reflexes? She held her nose and looked at me wildly. "I'd start now, I've got for more room just like this one."
Clary's phone started to ring and she walked away to answer it.
"Good-bye, Simon and pet. It's been a pleasure doing business with you." She smiled, not holding her nose anymore. "Wait." Simon pleaded, but he had to know who he was talking to. She just conned her way out of a death sentence. "I wish I could, my little caramel. But don't worry we'll see each other soon." She put it so simply, and she was right. She was free. She got away with it.
"I hate it when she does that." He hissed at the empty space she was just in.
"At least I got to punch her. Come on let's get looking." I looked up at the huge bookcase and started reading the spines of books.
Me and Simon were at it for a minute before Clary came back in. She helped us with out search, but it was really no use. How many books was it gonna take to find a spell book? I didn't know the answer but it didn't seem like a simple one.
My back was starting to hurt from all this looking, we were getting no where.
That was until Clary pulled out a cook book.
