BILLIE KNOWS ALL
I had to run to the bridge to basically stay in the loop after that. I found the gang all huddled around the computer watching and analyzing videos of Hodge. I can't say that I never trusted him, I only knew him for a short amount of time. But I didn't even trust myself and turns out I'm a murderer.
Before I could ask what the plan was, Jace was running off.
"Billie, you're all healed up?" Alec asked and I nodded. So it was him an Magnus that found me and Lydia. I for sure thought I was a goner. "You strong enough to go against Hodge again?" I had to bite back my sarcasm.
"Seeing as I can't die, I think I'll take another go. Where do you want me boss?" I asked and he nodded over to the weapons room. I made a quick jog over there and found Jace already loading up on blades.
Alec was righe behind me, and so was Clary.
"Jace, what are you doing? " Clary worriedly asked just Jace. I don't think she realized that this cup was like the holy bible in their world. And knowing Jace he was gonna act like a hero and save us all.
"Every second we waste here, Hodge gets closer to Valentine. " He seemed to be so, upset and peeved that he didn't realize that Hodge is bat shit crazy. And that, oh yeah he's friends with Valentine again. I can't be the only one here who has it piece together right?
"Hey, we're a team, all right? I know you're mad right now, but Hodge could be dangerous." Clary clarified. Ha! That was a funny piece of literation. When this is all said and done I should joke about that soon.
"She's right, I got stabbed! Again!" I clarified this time and Jace looked up at me. I get that he was mad and wanted to get the cup out of evil's way. But there was a way to do it. "We need a plan, a full proof plan. It's Valentine we're talking about here."
The two went back to having their little couples quarrel while me and Alec were prepping. He swung his bag of arrows over his shoulder and I slipped on a belt with five blades on it. Things were getting intense between the two until Clary said that he was their father.
I froze for a second and looked to Alec. "What did I miss?" I mouthed to him in shock. No really, what did I miss? I just- I just called their fight a couple's quarrel. And now it's a sibling showdown?
"A lot." He mouthed back before leaving the room behind Jace.
I left with them trying to keep up my speed with the two of them. It was hard. What was I doing going along with them? What if I just passed out again, only this time I ended up in evil's hands too?
"Jace How are we gonna find Hodge? He didn't leave anything we can track." Alec deducted and I agreed with him silently. "I might be able to ask Magnus for help."
I smirked at that. That was cute. "You need to stop thinking with your stele, Alec." Jace joked and pulled out his phone, dialing up a number. "There's more than one way to track." He started talking to someone on the phone while Alec looked at me. I was nervous.
"I think I'm gonna head out with Izzy. I'm not up to that fight with Hodge. Good luck." I said all in one go and dashed over to where Clary was.
She was pulling on her jacket when I got to her. "Why didn't you go with the boys?" She asked me and I had to come up with something quick. I don't know but something in my gut is telling me to stick to the easy mission.
That and the whole winding up in evil hands thing.
"I figured they could handle themselves. I'm up for whatever you're doing though." I shrugged and looked around the institute. Hopefully whatever Clary was doing was much easier. Easier than fighting Valentine.
