Len Append x Len

Len came home from school with a new injury everyday. Today, he had a fairly large bruise on his wrist and a couple on his arm. Rin was walking from the living room when she noticed Len, she then noticed the bruises he had, "L-len?! What happened this time?!" She rushed over to her brother and started to exam the dark purple marks on his wrist and arm. Len was silent for a little while before he spoke up, "I-I fell during gym class..."

"No, it was him again wasn't it?!"

"N-no!"

"Yes, it was! I don't even begin to understand why you still hang around with him!!"

Len couldn't say anything... he just began walking up the stairs. He could still hear Rin yelling at him about how he needed to get away from 'him'. "He has a name you know!!" He yelled down at Rin. "Oh, I'm sorry, you need to stay away from Append then!! He's gonna hurt you really badly one day!". That did it, Len turned around, furious, "Shut up!! He will NOT! You act like I'm in an abusive relationship or somthing! He doesn't even know how I feel about him..." and with that he ran down the hall to his room and slammed the door. Len fell to his knees and began to cry. He was helplessly in love with Append... even though he's made him cry every day since they met...

########The Next Day After School#########

Len was once again stuck walking home because he missed the bus. To make things worse, it was raining. Luckily, he wore his yellow hoodie and even though it was thin, it helped keep him dry... his upper body at least. Len looked up from the sidewalk and saw Append talking with Strange Dark. He picked up his pace, maybe he would actually get to talk with Append today!

"Dark! Append!", Len called as both turned twards him. "Hey, Len! I haven't seen you in a while!... Woah... what happened to your hand?" Dark said looking at Lens bruised hand. "I-I...um...I fell during g-gym class!" Len said nervously as he looked back down at the sidewalk. He was about to say somthing to Append when his phone rang, it was Rin.

"H-hello?"

"Len! Where are you? It's flooding and you didn't take the bus!"

"S-sorry! I'll be home in a few minutes...bye!"

"Bye!"

Len slipped his phone in his back pocket, "I'll see you guys later! I've got to get home!", just as he started walking, Append stuck out his foot and Len tripped over it and fell to the ground... in a puddle. "Len! Are you okay?!" Dark said helping him back up, Len's shorts and hoodie were now soaked in the front. "Y-yeah I'm-" he noticed the scrapes on his palms and knees, a few tears falling down his cheeks, "I-I need to go c-clean these up...", Len said before running away from the other two boys. Dark turned to Append and roughly pushed him causing him take a few steps backwards, "What was that for?!". Dark grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him down to his height, "You did that on purpose!! What is wrong with you?! Whether you care or not, Len loves you! I mean like he's really in love with you! He puts up with your constant abuse because of that! You break his heart a little more everyday and I can't even tell you how many times I've seen him walking home in tears because of you! And you could care less!" Dark released his grip on Append's shirt and started walking away, leaving a wide-eyed Append out in the rain. He grabbed Dark's shoulder and spun him around to face him, "How long... has he been in love with me...?"

"Since you two met..."

"W-why hasn't he said anything?"

"He's too afraid to! He's always said that you would hate him if he told you..."

"I...I had no idea..."

"Of course you didn't! You have always been so bent on hating him, that you didn't even think about why he still stayed around you!" Dark shoved Append away as he ran twards Len's house. 'What.... have I done...?' Append thought as he himself began to cry.
