Happy Monday y'all! And happy MLK day! I'm back with a new chapter for BB and I hope y'all are excited. Now I don't have an official day to update in the week so it'll be between Mondays and Tuesdays. I'll be checking with my schedule since school starts on Wednesday for me.

Anywho, please enjoy!

| Chapter 1- Jace |

*A promise that was broken was always an empty promise.*

The alarm blared from the desk beside me and I groaned as I leaned over to silence the annoying sound. My fingers met the cool surface of my phone and I opened a blurry eye to briefly see what time it was. My eyes widened. 6:15!

I muttered colorful words under my breath as I stumbled out of bed, my alarm still blaring. "Shut up," I growled as I pressed the 'stop' button, finally silencing the darn thing.

I then proceeded to rush off to my restroom before starting up the water. I had to be at work in forty-five minutes and here in LA, traffic was still ever present, even at six in the morning. Plus I still needed to grab breakfast, coffee, and finish setting up my things at the studio!

Letting the warm water start, I started collecting my gadgets and stuffing them in my bag before grabbing a towel and going to the shower. When I finished, I wrapped my towel around my waist and proceeded to shave.

Fellow coworkers, women really, told me that I looked better with the scruff, that I looked older, but I honestly didn't care. If I wanted to shave, gosh dang it, let me shave! I just found it annoying when people I never really talked to gave an interest in my personal life when they clearly wanted nothing better to do that just meddle before leaving.

After that, I ran towards my closet, still in my towel, and picked out my outfit for the day. Simple jeans and a solid navy shirt with black Vans before rushing back to get ready. Not even bothering fixing the beanie on my head, I just grabbed my things and ran out of my apartment.

Sliding into my car after throwing my bags gently in the passenger seat, I wheeled out of the garage and zoomed down the street to the nearest Starbucks. I preferred home brewed coffee but running late as I was now, I didn't have time to make my own so Starbucks it was.

After paying for my meal, if I could call it that, I peeled out of there and made my way to the studio. Luckily it wasn't too far from home otherwise I would've been in trouble. I tried my best to always be punctual. Being the main tech guy on set meant I needed to be punctual or else everything would fall apart.

Finding my parking spot, I barely made it into the building before the director and my boss, Michael, joined me. I handed him a coffee and he smiled and thanked me before we walked towards our studio room together. "Barely made it I see," he chuckled as we walked in the dark room. He flipped the switch and everything became visible.
