| Chapter 2- Laney |
*Call me a witch, call me annoying. But it won't change the fact that you're right.*

I gazed at Timothy, my partner for this particular scene. He was wearing his elf ears, accenting his handsome features. However, I wasn't affected by his good looks. We were just partners. At least for this movie. Even then I wouldn't consider him a partner. It was just me, myself, and I.
"We'll be caught," I whispered, speaking my script to life.
"I don't care," he whispered back as he stepped closer to me.
I remained rooted in spot, staring up at him with wide eyes as I looked at every feature of his face. "But you should," I barely whispered, aware that the microphone above me was catching my every word. We leaned in close together before I was met with his lips.
At this scene, we were to share a passionate kiss. One where two beings from different realms came together, hoping and trying to bridge something between our two kinds. It was almost like a Romeo and Juliet story, however, we weren't supposed to have a morbid ending.
Our kiss started off slow, something fearful and timid, before we started to let our characters do the movement. We moved closer together, his hands on my waist, dragging me closer, my arms around his neck.
Suddenly, a branch cracking cut us off and we pulled back as two magnets of the same side brought together. We looked at each other and around us to the green trees surrounding us. We had moved out of the studio and now stood outside where the woods consumed us.
Once we were all set, we had driven up towards the mountains for this particular scene to shoot and therefore, had to make it perfect.
He put his finger to his lips and gazed around and I did the same. And that's when I saw it, a flash of green. "There!" I exclaimed as I raised my hand and shot it forward. Obviously nothing happened but with the edits in place, a vine would shoot from my hand and capture the spy.
A squeal resounded before I drew my hand in like I would with a whip and out came tumbling Amelia as if she was pulled in. She landed on the floor in front of us, with her green wig sprawled out across her face and she glared at us.
"I knew it," she hissed as she wiggled around. I glared at her and locked my jaw.
"Who's that?" asked Tim, his eyes scrutinizing her.
"Adolf, meet Kira, my kin," I replied before Michael yelled cut.
We all sighed and rolled our shoulders while Amelia stood up and gave me the stink eye before walking off to take a drag of water. I ignored her. She was a pain in my butt anyway.
"That was gorgeous! Perfect almost!" Michael exclaimed from his director's chair.
I scoffed. "As if," I commented as I examined my plain nails. During this movie, it wasn't allowed to be colored, not that I minded. I could always get them done after.
"What do you mean?" Michael asked with a raised brow. I knew he wasn't appalled about my attitude. He was actually quite used to it and it's one small thing I liked about him. Sure I respected him, but it didn't mean I had to like him. I didn't. He wasn't as strict as he should be.
"I mean this- Tim's acting could use more oomph. If this was real life, I wouldn't have kissed him at all. He wasn't serious of convincing Luna enough. As for Amelia, she should spit more venom or be smug about the whole finding out scene. It's pathetic, really, how unconvincing they are," I offered with a nonchalant shrug. Everyone else stared at me with jaws dropped and offense on their face.
"Well listen here," began Amelia as she ripped her green wig off, exposing her rich brown locks. "No one wants to hear your opinions. I think I speak for everyone in here that we're all sick of your nasty attitude," she added as she stood up towards me. Her couple inches showed towards me. I had to look up at her a bit but I simply grinned cruelly. Even I knew that and I watched her gulp a little.
"Does it look like I care what you and everyone think?" I asked with a wicked grin. I then laughed humorlessly, shaking my head, my own light silver wig swishing in the process. "I don't care if you all are sick of this. We're actors, not friends," I spat the word, "and therefore, who cares how I act? Suck up your weakness and realize that I'm right and you're wrong. You all can't do this movie without me so I suggest shutting that trap of yours," I finished mockingly sweet with an extra bat of my eyes before giving her a cold stare, causing her to drop her mouth in shock before they all took a step back.
I glanced around the field. Everyone was frozen in shock and my eyes briefly glanced at Jace who kept his emotions in check. I wasn't sure if he was just as shocked or impressed or upset. I couldn't read him anymore and a slight pang of hurt coursed through me before I pushed it aside.
"You're a witch," whispered Amelia and I looked at her with a calculated stare.
"Call me a witch, call me annoying. But it won't change the fact that you're right. Keep it in mind little Melia. Because witches are known to curse humans," I added coldly before flicking my hair and walking away from the scene.
