After the day at P.E Cameron was told she needs to work on her fear of water. Mrs. Paige said a girl named Mara would help her. Knowing how many people tried Mara would probably fail also. It was a regular day at school going to Math, computers, History, then lunch, English, Physics, and P.E. Mrs. Paige introduced Cameron to Mara but surprisingly they never really met even being in the same class. "I don't need help! I'm totally fine I can deal with this on my own!" Everyone looked at the three as Cameron apologized for shouting. Mara here will help you anyway so you'll have to stick with it or fail. Cameron gave Mara a glare before Mara stuck out her hand and shook Cameron's hand. "This should be fun and exciting right." Mara seemed so happy but also sounding like she wasn't up for it. Cameron tagged along with Mara to go to the public pool which was 3 miles from the school. When they got there Cameron jumped out of the car and started walking. Inside Mara quickly changed then Cameron waited until she was gone. Wearing the same as always she quickly put on the swimsuit and walked out with her bag. Mara was already in the pool and other people were there also. "Just sit on the steps for now. You okay with that?" Mara asked while walking in the water. Mara's instructions were boring that Cameron spaced out. "Okay now your turn." Cameron refused to and just sat there. Slowly cooperating she walked up to the 4ft and stopped. "Oh come on Cameron you have to be in the 6 feet at least." Mara swam a bit than walked up to Cameron and dragged her forward. Cameron tripped on her foot and fell forward into the water. She panicked as the memory of her drowning came back. Mara quickly picked her up and Cameron hugged her. "Uh Cameron you have to let go." Mara giggled a bit before stopping seeing her face. Cameron didn't know what to do they were in the 8ft and she wondered how they quickly got there. Wanting to get out Cameron pushed off Mara and let go of her. Mara yelped in pain from getting kicked in the side as Cameron started to panic. "Cameron calm down and stop!" Cameron started to take in some water here and there but stayed up surface to breathe. Mara swam up to her side and grabbed her arms."Cameron stop right now! Relax please." Cameron stopped a Mara helped her from drowning. Cameron's face turned a bit red as Mara held her arms so she'd stop. Mara slowly swam with Cameron holding her arms saying see your fine. Finally almost back at 4 feet again Mara let go of Cameron. Cameron panicked till her feet touched the tile and she quickly got out. "You are crazy Mara!" Mara quickly tried to follow behind Cameron but slipped on the wet floor. Someone ran to Mara to see if she was okay. Cameron quickly just dried off, changed and threw her swimsuit in her bag. She walked out being furious and started walking home. Mara on the other hand quickly did the same as Cameron but more worried. She didn't mean to scare her. Cameron walked a good distance to a bus stop. She sat on a bench besides someone else as she looked for her phone. "I can see you had a rough say." She looked up to see Mara. She's making it seem as if I don't know her. "Come on Cameron I'll take you home I'm sorry."
"Than why act like a total stranger? Of course it's an awful day because of you. I just want to forget today if I can please."
"Cameron. I really am sorry. I could take you home if you'd like." Cameron sighed and got up from the bench. Quickly getting in the car Mara jumped in right after driving off. Silence filled the car. Going through Camerons head were lots of thoughts. Cameron gave directions until they reached her house. "I'm sorry again Cameron. Good night." She got out of the car closing the door saying "Mara. Please just forget it. Just don't worry alright." Cameron gave Mara a smile she has never given anyone in a while. Mara smiled back but didn't believe she was okay. Cameron entered the house watching the car drive off. She opened the door to see her mom watching T.V. No one cared but she ran up to her room and shut the door. "Cameron are you home?" Clarity asked. I opened the door but soon after we both looked down the stairs. "Cameron get down here now!"  Clarity looked worried while I went down stairs. "Where were you? Clarity was looking for you. She bugged me about you not being home. This is why I hate you!" Cameron looked at the floor saying nothing. "Well!?"
"Lessons for swimming."
"Why would you waste time on that." Her mom laughed. "Just make sure you tell Clarity where you're at next time. I'm tired of hearing her worry about you."
Cameron ran back upstairs ignoring Clarity slamming the door. Cameron felt like crying because her mom never really loved her or cared for her. Her mom just hated her no one else. Cameron would spend so much time thinking why a mother would hate her daughter. Clarity knocked on the door but she ignored it. Finally she turned on her music, turned it up and plugged in her phone. She took a shower then changed into her pajamas. She bushed her teeth then her hair. Braiding it into two she turned off the light crawling into be.
"Well good night Cameron." Clarity said on the other side of the door. Clarity sat there hoping she'd open the door. Cameron felt bad for Clarity and being so mean to Mara. Clarity felt awful for telling her mom about Cameron. Soon everyone fell asleep.  The music played throughout the night till morning.
