"and life goes on whether you like it or not. so darling, please let the past be the past; there are brighter days ahead that will make you smile forever." - ms.
♱ ♱ ♱I sit outside of Mystic Grill waiting for Stefan to show up. He asked to meet him when he informed me that he dealt with Damon and his psychopathic ways. I can't be upset or hold a grudge when this is what I wanted to begin with, the truth.
I twiddle my fingers, and Stefan takes a seat in front of me. I keep a serious face, and he softly smiles.
"You said you would explain everything. So I'm here, so talk." I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow.
"I can tell you whatever you wanna know. Or whatever you don't know." Stefan sternly says, and I analyze him before speaking.
"I know a lot about vampires, the compulsion, the feeding, the transition, the weaknesses, strength. But what I can't get past is the fact I can sit and talk with you outside, in daylight." I point out, and he nods.
"Damon and I have rings to protect us from daylight," Stefan says showing me his ring on his finger, and I nod.
"The animal attacks, were you any part of it?" I ask, and the waitress arrives with our drinks I ordered. "Thank you." I smile at the waitress, and she leaves. I take a sip of my soda and Stefan second guesses drinking. "Relax, no vervain. Just soda."
"I don't kill to survive. Animal blood keeps me alive, but not as strong as Damon. He can be very powerful." Stefan leans in to say.
"And yet you let him get involved with Caroline. Did you deal with Damon by the way? It's been four days since." I say with an attitude.
"Forcing Damon not to do something is much more dangerous, believe me. And I handled it." Stefan sips on his soda.
"He was hurting her!" I snap.
"He was feeding on her. He took away her memories of being bitten. She never knew what was happening to her. If he wanted to kill her, he would have." Stefan defends his brother.
"Is that supposed to make it ok?" I scoff.
"No. No, none of this is ok, Mikayla. I know that." Stefan insists, and I give him a smug face.
"Are there any others, aside from you and Damon?" I ask, and he nods no.
"Not in Mystic Falls; not anymore." Stefan answers and I think for a moment.
"Not anymore?" I raise my eyebrows.
"There was a time when this town was...very much aware of vampires, and it didn't end well for anybody," Stefan informs me.
