If only you knew what would've happened right after those dates. It scared you a whole lot when you started feeling it. Those feelings for that person.

Ren.

Ever since that one day, you found yourself chatting up a storm with him almost every night. And about a month later did you realize your emotions for him.

It wasn't long until you noticed his feelings for you too. Your thoughts proved itself correct when one day, he confessed to you.

It felt strange, in your opinion, but it also felt great. And so did the kiss that he planted onto your lips right after.

You were too lost in both your own worlds, you didn't even notice the purple tuft of hair watching the two of you from a distance.

It was only then when you pulled away, did Ren ask you to be his girlfriend. Which you gladly said yes to.

People may think it was a bit fast paced since you both knew each other for only a month, but you knew you love him. And that's what matters.

When you both started dating, the cliches of being in a relationship began. You went on many dates, bought many things, and acted cute together (a little cringey sometimes). Even the girls, who are now your great friends, tease you and Ren a lot, causing you to blush uncontrollably.

So far, you're life was amazing. The only bad thing was that you noticed that Ayato was starting to avoid you. You aren't really sure if that is the case, but judging from his actions, it made you think like that.

Sometimes, you would see Kaneki look at him with an uncertain look. Then he would turn to you and he would smile, not giving you a chance to ask what was going on since he would quickly run towards Ayato right after.

It did bother you for a while. But having Ren with you helped you distract yourself a bit from the confusion inside you. You were thankful for that.

Right now, you are walking down the road, the same one that leads to your school and the one where you were attacked by Ayato a while back. You smiled to yourself even though you knew that situation wasn't exactly joyful. It did hurt a lot.

As you walked, you suddenly noticed a dark purple shade flash through your peripheral vision, causing you to stop in your tracks. You quickly turned around, just in time to catch the male hurrying off into a sharp corner on your street.

Without hesitation, you ran to where he had just disappeared, scanning the narrow area until your eyes finally spotted him. He was facing away from you, his head swiveling left to right as if deciding which way to go.

"Ayato-kun," you said and you saw him tense up. He slowly turned around to face you. There was only a few feet distance between the both of you. You were about to go closer to him when he suddenly spoke, "I-I have to go somewhere, (Y/N)-chan. I'm in a hurry. I forgot something at home."

He was about to sprint off once more when you shouted loudly. "Ayato!" He jumped a little at your voice, stopping in his tracks. "Why do you keep avoiding me?!" You yelled angrily as you walked closer to him.

He looked at you with an expression that held so much emotions. It was hard for you to tell what exactly he was feeling at that moment. Was it fear that you saw in his eyes? Confusion? Or is it hurt? You watched him, awaiting his answer but nothing came out of his mouth.

You both stood there for almost half a minute in silence, both hearts pumping crazily in your chests. "I-I'm sorry," he finally said, something you didn't expect from him. Before you knew it, he had ran off, leaving you there drowning in utter puzzlement.

What happened?
