"So how was work?" Devin asks me, as we make our way down a road toward whatever destination he has picked. His hand is on my thigh, lightly squeezing it, which does make it a little hard to concentrate.

"Mm it was alright, there's still some weird vibes in the store after Luna and Sarah had their lil' dispute the other day, but other than that nothing crazy." I reply, watching Devins thumb lightly run over my skin, slowly going back and forth.

"Im glad nothing crazy happened." He says, with a light smile.

"How about your day, what have you been up to for the past eight hours?" I ask him, looking over at him, his face dimly lit since its dark out. His face is beautifully painted.

"Well I mainly did some tour supply shopping, looked around at some places online for a bit, took your mom to the airport, also may have took some time and played Resident Evil. So it was a pretty alright time." He nods causing me to grin. I knew he was going to say he played some games.

"Where is my mom going? I forgot to ask her that, of all questions." I shake my head at myself a bit. Devin chuckles lightly from beside me.

"She said Seattle." He replies.

"Ah she must be visiting her sister." I nod remembering my aunt living down in Seattle.

We keep conversation as we drive for a little bit longer, talking about anything and everything. My arms end up wrapped around Devins left arm, just wanting to hold something of him.

The car finally comes to a stop as we stop outside of a resteraunt. The sign is in a fancy cursive that I couldnt pronounce even if i tried.

"What does that even say?" I look over at Devin, not taking a second to think before I say my words. A big grin pops on his lips, a little giggle escaping. "What?" A light smile rises to my lips at his reaction to my question.

"I knew you were going to say that." He looks me in the eyes with his little grin.

"Oh shove off." I can't help but laugh at the words though, the giggle leaving my lips.

"It's called Zaytoon." He says, a smile being the end of his giggles.

We both get out of the car, his presence quickly by my side. I wrap my arms around his right arm, as he's to the left of me. My fingers still somehow ending up finding his.

When entering the resteraunt im blown away with the way things look. Its a very fancy resteraunt, making me feel completly underdressed. I guess when it has some crazy fancy scripture wring as the sign I should assume it's going to look the same inside aswell?

We're met by a smiling woman by the name of Anna that takes us to our table. The table we're sat in is a booth type table facing a little stage thats centered in the resteraunt.

"What the fuck is this resteraunt, Devin?" I say to him after Anna leaves, bewildered with this resteraunt.

"It's a resteraunt, with food, and music." He says, short and simply, a goofy grin on his lips. Which in turn earns him a small, not so serious glare from me.

As the night passes by Devin and I talk a lot. Even with living together and almost constantly being with one another, we somehow still find things to say. It amazes me that someone could be so much like me but yet completly different. At this point it just feels like hes opened up a part of me that I didn't know existed and he feels like my other half.

We end up leaving the resteraunt close to ten pm, somehow ending up being there for four hours. I feel kind of bad for the waitress but we tipped well so hopefully that made up for it.

The stars are out now, twinkling in the night. The fresh salt water smell hits my nose like it always does at night in Santa Barbara. A smile finds its way onto my lips as my arms find Devin again.

"Thank you for dinner, love." I say to him, not to thrilled with the amount of money we spent but the food was amazing and worth the experience.

"Of course, baby. You deserved it." He replies, pressing his lips against my temple.

"Gay." I drag out the 'a', a big grin on my lips. Devin starts laughing as I do.

We find ourselves back in the car on the way back to my mom's house. As we drive up the foothills my eyes watch the view. Lights are scattered everywhere, the beach sitting behind it all. Everyrhing is so illuminated. Its kind of nice living up in the foothills away from most of it. Its going to change soon though.

"What you thinking about, baby?" Devins voice fills my brain, distracting me from my thoughts.

"Just about living up here. Its gonna suck having to move." I say thinking about the pain, and the pain it already is trying to find a place.

"Well, I know our place wont be as fancy as your moms, or as beautiful, but it'll be ours and we'll get to make it ours." His hand finds my thigh, gently squeezing it. "But we'll still get a kick ass place, and we're gonna fuck in every room." His 'sentimental' ending makes me start giggling. I know he's not wrong.

"Im not worried about it not being beautiful or fancy." I start after my giggling ends. "I mean maybe a little," he grins at my words. "But its mainly the view and the tediousness of moving, and still finding the perfect place for us."

"Well, my dear, I cant give you what your mother has, but im going to give you the best I can." His words hit my heart, making me a tad sad.
My arms quickly wrap around his arm, my head finding his shoulder.

"Devin, you've already given me the world." The words leave my lips a bit quietly.

"But you deserve the universe, baby." The words melt my heart, tears immediatly rising to my eyes.

"You're so unbelievably cheesy but god damn do I love it." I say, lifting my head up from his shoulder and looking at his face. He looks over at me for a moment with a smile on his face, then eyes back on the road.
I quickly press a kiss to his cheek, the car slowing down a bit as we pull up the long driveway.

"Honestly best Halloween eve ever." I say pulling my arms away from him as we come to a park in the garage.

"We still got an hour and a half to make it even better." He grins devilishly at me.

"Well now that you said it, gotta prove it." I shrug a bit making his smirk even bigger.
