Lafayette made John promise not to say anything to Herc. John eventually complied, still very upset about the situation. However, he would do anything to keep his best friend happy as possible. After Lafayette had done everything thing to remove any evidence of his tears.
They all headed down for dinner.

After a pleasant meal, the adults chatted in the living room until late in the evening. As ten thirty drew closer, Alex and John explained that they need to leave. However, Philip didn't want to go.
"Please please please papa, dad?" Philip pleaded, causing Alex and John to exchange a nervous glance.
"Mon ami's, I can take him. They go to school together so they can ride the bus from here tomorrow." Lafayette said, noticing his daughters pleading eyes.
"You shure Laf?" Alex asked, raising a brow.
"Of course." Lafayette said.
After a brief conversation about being on his best behaviour, Philip was allowed to stay. Both children giggled in excitement and Philip hugged his parent's goodbye. As they disappeared out the door Lafayette kneeld by the giggling children.
"You two have about an hour til its time for bed, and I have an idea." Lafayette whispered as if it was a secret, "How about we build a fort for you two to sleep in, ok?"
The childrens eyes lit up and they began to rapidly nod.

After plenty of hard work the three of them had built a satisfying fortress in the living room for Cami and Philip to sleep in. Lafayette put on a disney movie for the kids to watch as they drifted off to sleep, when he heard his daughters tired voice.
"Papa?" Cami whispered sweetly
"Yes, mon cheri?" Lafayette said softly
"Will you come sleep in the fort with us?"
Lafayette obviously complied with his daughters wishes, laying down beside her. She cuddled into him as the warmth made her feel safe and secure. Her eyes suddenly heavy with sleep.
"Je t'aime." She whispered
"Je t'aime" Lafayette whispered back

When Hercules entered his home, he was not prepared for the overwhelmingly adorable sight in his living room. His husband was sleeping in a messy pile of blankets and pillows, with one arm around his daughter and another around his nephew, who were bpth nestled into his sides.
Herc let out a sigh as he quietly clicked off the television and covered the small cuddle puddle of people with a soft colorful blanket. He smiled, for a moment before disappearing into the bedroom, alone.

(Word Count: 422)I wanted Laf to be a cool/fun/playful father and uncle. I also wanted to show that Herc still cares, he just doesn't have his priorities straight.
Probably because he is gay.
Shots fired
Jk.
Sincerely,
Welp
