Lafayette woke up in the morning to pleasantly familiar smell of pancakes. He looked around and saw he was lying in the childrens fort alone, and immediately panicked. He rushed into the kitchen, only to see Cami and Philip eating at the kitchen table.
"Good moring Papa," Cami said with a smile, shoving a fork full of pancakes into her mouth "Daddy made us breakfast."
As if on cue, Herc came out of the kitchen with a plate of pancakes in hand. He smiled as he handed the plate to Lafayette and kissed his cheek.
"Good morning my love." Herc said with a smile "I made you breakfast."
"Merci. Wait. What time is it." Lafayette began to fumble for his phone when Herc cut off his nervous breakdown.
"Don't worry, the kids bus doesn't come for another half hour." Herc explained.
"But what about your work?" Lafayette questioned.
"I'm shure they will be fine. I'll just be a little late. Besides," Herc said " I miss my husband."
Lafayette felt his heart flutter and heat rush to his face. He sat down beside the children, and picked up his fork and began to enjoy his breakfast.
