Lafayette stood awkwardly in Hercs office, looking around the room. Designs and photos covered the walls, he even reconized some of them. There were quite a few pictures of him and Hercules together, pictures of Cami as toddler, and a the design of the wedding dress he made for Theo.
Herclues, took a seat behind his desk, watching as his husband marveled at the room. He smiled softly to himself, setting the paper bag down beside his paperwork and pulled at the neatly folded opening.
Inside was a sandwich, one of Camilles juice boxes, a bottle of water, and a red velvet cupcake placed delicately in a small container.
Lafayette looked at his feet, and this when Herc knew something was definitely up with him. The LaffyTaffy he knew was rarely shy, especially around him, and Laf was never this quiet.
This Laf was different. He only spoke if it was necessary, and although he smiled his eyes did not sparkle with delight as they usually did. His eyes were now dull and sad, and his skin had lost its vibrant glow.
"Laf?" Herc said softly "Look at me please?"
Lafayette faked a soft smile, lifting his head. Herclues stood up, crossing the small room so he could stand in front of Laf. He tucked a strand of Laf's messy hair back into place and smiled lovingly at his husband.
Laf was trying hard not to break down and Herc didn't want to upset him, but the emotions were building up and there was no stopping this now.
Lafayette lifted his hands slightly, before letting them settle at his sides again. Herclues took Laf's hands, guiding them so the Laf's arms could rest opon his shoulders. Then he wrapped his arms around Lafayette's and pulled him for a hug.
"Look, I know something has definitely been bothering you," Herc whispered " but if you never tell me what's wrong I can't possibly fix it."
" I know." Laf responded softly, his voice broken and sad.
"You don't have to rush your self but-... just know I'm here for you. Okay?" Herclues said.
"Oui, I know." Laf said smiling against Hercs shoulder.
"Hey."
"What is it?"
"I love you."
"Moi assui Je t'aime."
"Translation?"
"I love you too."
