In my opinion Niall and Harry had a fight or just generally something that upset maybe both of them or only Niall happened and even tough in the beginning of second video Niall's laughing, it's only temporary because he quickly calms down and his good mood vanishes. Also as a bonus Harry, who looks rather irritated, glances at Niall every once in a while so yes, let's get started.
I've seen some people say that Niall's crying because his voice cracks during his solo. And it's partly true, but just partly because he's crying (his eyes are watered, he looks rather upset and his eyes are most of the time fixed to the ground) even before his solo starts and his voice cracks only because he's upset and well, crying. But the question is why is he doing so? Well, I think that Little Things means a lot to both Niall and Harry and their relationship (if you haven't, read previous chapter) and if they had had a fight before or just basically weren't on the best terms with each other at the moment then what if Niall breaks down because of this? He remembers all of the times they've sung to each other, all of the memories that it brings tears to his eyes.
But back to Harry, the most meaningful lyrics he sings looking down at Niall and Liam's looking at Harry all of this time cause he knows what's happening between them. And when Niall's voice cracks (Niall's reaction you've got in video 1 around 2:15 minutes and Harry's in video 2 around 1 minute) Harry's head instantly snaps in Niall's direction to check what's wrong.
Video two, 1:04 - Harry asks Liam to go and comfort Niall. What if Harry feels somewhat guilty and he can't stand to see his boyfriend crying and knows that Liam will help him?

Video one, 2:30 - Liam sits down next to Niall, hugs him and sings with him. But while hugging him, he looks up at Harry as if to see if that's alright with him. And then when Niall's part ends, Liam whispers something to Niall, making him laugh. What if he said something like "Harry's a prick, don't worry, Nialler". I don't know, maybe I'm making things up, but I'm almost certain that it has something to do with Harry.
And after that Harry desperately wants to know if Niall is alright so he leans out and looks at the screen to see his boyfriend's face.

And then when Harry encourages the fans to sing I think he just wants to help Niall in that way so he can calm down and rest without having to worry about singing and probably he also draws attention from Niall to himself.
