The next morning, Nate and Katie sat in Triangle Park as they looked over the list of things their mothers sent them to pick up while Whisper kept an eye on the other Yo-kai as they were playing on the slide and swings.
"Okay, we need to pick up some milk, bread, vegetables, meat, cheese, and donuts...at least they've made peace with their donut perferences."
They had honestly expected to see their parents fighting on what donuts to get through writing on the list, but all that was on the list was just the standard goccery items and both Spirit and Soul donuts.
"Okay, we'll have to make a few trips back home just so none of the food goes bad while we're out...just in case there's some Yo-kai hi-jinx today."

After picking up bread from Banter Bakery and some milk and cheese from Uptown Everymart and heading back home to drop them off, they started to walk towards Flower Road to get the meat and vegetables. Just as they were walking there, they saw a shop that they went to often, even before they got involved with Yo-kai and it was also one that they had passed by during the shopping trip with their parents the other day.
"Hey, guys. We're going to make a detour real quick."
"Where to?"
"You'll see."
Nate and Katie walked into the shop, which had clothes, accessories, and other miscellaneous stuff, most of which was pop-culture inspired, but the merchandise was still affordable, especially if you had a lot of money from battling Yo-kai. None of the Yo-kai knew why they were there, only knowing that Nate and Katie clearly had something planned for them.
"Go ahead and pick something, guys. We'll pay for it with the spare money we carry around."
The Yo-kai stared at them for a few moments and when they saw that the kids were being serious, they smiled and started looking around.

A few minutes later...
Nate and Katie walked out of the shop with a small bag that contained the purchases that their Yo-kai companions had asked for. When they got to a secluded place, they handed the Yo-kai the things they had wanted.
"Okay, here are the coin purses for the Koma Brothers, green for Komasan, blue for Komajiro. Whisper, here's the bowtie you wanted and for Jibanyan, the Next HarMEOWy picture keychain you wanted."
"Not that I don't appreciate the gifts, but why did you get them for us?"
"You guy have done so much for us and we wanted to thank you for it...and it was easier to buy gifts for the four of you since you always hang around us. One of these days, we'll find a way to hang out with all of the other Yo-kai we've befriended and thank them for agreeing to be our friends."
Whisper and Jibanyan put their gifts away for safekeeping and after helping Komasan and Komajiro adjust the coin purses so that they didn't drag on the ground, the group went back to their original errand of picking up the rest of the gocceries on the list.

"Thank you!"
Nate and Katie got the meat and vegetables for their mothers and were now going to pick up the donuts. Thankfully, the crazy crowd wasn't there when they walked by and they got both donuts with no trouble, although the shopkeepers kept insisting that their donuts were better than the other's donuts.
I wonder if they'll ever cooperate with each other...or maybe this the best that we're going to get in terms of cooperation. At least they're not going to drastic measures to put each other out of business.
