A moment can shape a person.

Just one singular moment can change a persons life. A few words, a chance meeting, hell even a smile can alter the course of your life.

But what changed to course in my life? A simple pizza, flowers and a something heard behind a door.

"Sorry about him, he's got a little to much energy."

This was another one of those moments.

I didnt want to turn around. I didnt want to see his face but I couldn't hide, there was nowhere to go.

So I took a deep breath and forced a smile on my face.

Turning to him.

"No problem." I forced out.

"Aden?!"

Our eyes met his eyes were green as a forest. I studied his features. His hair was brown and styled short. He was taller than I'd thought with broad shoulders and olive skin and somehow even more handsome than I'd ever imagined.

It was the the first time I'd ever SEEN him.

The first time I'd seen my first love.

"Aden I..."

My heart fluttered after hearing my name from his lips once more as if all that time hadn't passed.

So I did the only thing I knew how, I ran. Straight to the kitchen.

Other workers bustled by not noticing my flustered nature, all but one. Orlando came over to me noting my discomfort.

"Aden you ok? Was a customer bothering you?"

I considered telling him about Nick but I decided not too.

"Um no Orlando I'm good."

That day, the day that changed the coarse of my life was the day everything came crashing down.

The day Aden brought pizza and flowers Aden's POV

Blair was unusually quiet on our way to the motel.

I didn't want to go to my home either after she shot her father so I thought staying the night at a hotel would be the safest bet.

We pulled up and got her bags out of the car.

The place as a little run down but was affordable for however long she and I would need to stay.

I went to the check in desk.

An old grumpy looking man made eye contact with me as we got to the desk and with a bored looking expression he asked, "How can I help you?"
