[43. New Years Eve]

I don't know when I want to end this book. I wanted to stop at 50 chapters but there's just so much more I GOTTA write.

Today is the last meeting with the lawyers and honestly it couldn't have come more at a perfect time. It may sound cliché but proposing properly to Luciana on New Years is how I'm going to do it.

I'm currently next door at her parents house with my mom and sisters telling them about the plan for tonight. Luciana should be home soon with Presley so I have to act fast.

"I'm going to propose tonight." I tell them and they all cheer and give me hugs. I calm them all back down and tell them what I'm going to do.

"I want to do it here because this is where I met Luciana so everyone can go to my house tonight and then we will go over and make the announcement." I tell them and they all nod and agree with the plan.

"I'm so happy!" My mom says and gives me another hug and here comes Raul. He looks at me and smiles and then pulls me in for a hug.

"I may seem scary but I'm glad you are going to be my son in law. Don't fuck it up." He say and goes back to Lupe.

"I'm going to head back to my house but keep quiet and I'll let you know when everything will go down." I saw and rush out the front door and pass the front yard to mine and inside.

I jump on the couch and turn on the tv and act natural. I hear the car pull up and doors close and it makes me giddy like a child. The front door opens and Presley comes running in.

"Daddy! Happy New Years!" He says happily as he jumps on me and gives me a hug.

"It's New Year's Eve, Buddy. New Years is at midnight and you won't be awake for it because you still have a bedtime." I tell him and he frowns.

"Mommy said I could stay up a little bit." He says and I look over and Luciana who is stuffing her face with French fries from McDonald's.

"Maybe just a little bit. I'll think about it." I tell him and he cheers and watches tv and eats his kids meal.

"Hey baby." I say and go give Luciana a hug and a kiss. She gives one back and then digs her hand inside the McDonald's bag.

"Hi sweetie, I got you a Big Mac." She tells me and I take a seat and eat it.

"What are we doing tonight?" She asks and I tell her how everyone is coming over here to celebrate.

"Are you sure you want our family all over here?" She asks and I nod and wipe my mouth.

"Your mom is bringing everything over to eat and my mom and sisters should be here soon to get everything ready." I tell her and she just nods.

"How's the baby?" I ask her and look at her belly. Everyday is grows and it makes me think she's farther along than the doctors are telling her.

"Baby's been good. Was moving earlier." She tells me and I want to go over and touch her stomach but I always touch it.

"Well I'm going to go take a shower and get ready." She says and tosses her food in the trash. Gives me a small kiss and heads upstairs.

"You don't need a full face of makeup." Zayn tells me as I finish putting my lipstick on.

"You really don't need to wear a suit from Tom Ford." She claps back and it makes me laugh. She always does that and you'd think I'd learn to keep my mouth shut but I can't.

She looks at me and gives me a smile and she looks beautiful as always. Pregnant Luciana is wearing a light colored dress from Versace that shows off her bump.
