REMUS LUPIN'S NEXT FEW SCHOOL DAYS WERE BUSIER THAN EVER. LATELY, HE HADN'T SEEN SIRIUS as often as he had when he first was enrolled into Hogwarts. Remus would be sketching something for his advanced art class late into the night and he would get a deep, "G'night Rem," from Sirius before he plopped sleepily into bed. When Remus awoke, he would be gone, the only hint of him left in the room was the indent his body had made in the duvet.

Remus constantly sketched, but mostly, his main focus of inspiration, well, was Sirius Black. The boring, plain and dull sketches he was assigned to do were nothing compared to Sirius' frame in the moonlight as he slept in the bed across from his own.

Once again, Friday had finally arrived, and Remus had no classes all day. He was assigned to complete a painting in watercolor, something he was quite skilled at, of a flower. He needed a live flower to paint, and the only thing he could think of was the sunflower field.

He slinks from his desk back to his bed and curls up into the blankets. For some reason, he didn't feel like going anywhere, even though it was Friday.

The door to their room swings open and Sirius walks in, who throws his leather jacket onto his bed. He turns to Remus, nestled in his bed. "Hey, Remus. No classes today?"

Remus shakes his head from underneath his comforter.

Sirius swipes the long strands of hair out of his eyes before furrowing his eyebrows. "You alright, Moony?"

"I suppose so," he replies, his voice muffled.

Sirius moves to sit on the side of Remus' bed. "Come on, get up, let's go somewhere. I want to show you something."

Remus sits up behind his pillow. "Right now?"

"Yeah, right now. Here, I'll change too." Sirius says and grabs himself and Remus a t-shirt from one of his drawers. He hands him a black Metallica t-shirt and he takes off his own but winces. Remus notices more faded bruises and a fresh cut right across Sirius' abdomen.

Remus wasn't the only one who was scarred. Emotionally and physically. He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes before changing into Sirius' shirt.

Sirius chuckles before taking Remus' hand.

"Where are we going?" Remus said, finding a smile on his face.

"You'll see."

Sirius found himself packing snacks in an old backpack, shoveling various cheeses, crackers, and other assortments of snack foods. Remus watches him, amused. "I still don't know where we're going to go with all this food, Sirius."

He shakes his head in laughter. "I'm telling you, Moony...It's a surprise. Just walk with me, alright?"

Remus nods as Sirius slings the backpack over his shoulders and they begin to walk outside towards the hills past the campus. He was still in awe of the beauty and majesty of the entire grounds. Green grass fluttered amidst the breeze, and little wildflowers grew underneath their feet. It was a shame to him that he seemed to be stepping on them. He picks one from the ground and twirls it around between his index and thumb.
