(Sorry for my inactivity lately. I'm busy.. I guess..)

Toast stared at his brother, who held the gun to his chest.

"Any last words, Johnathan?" Gavin smirked, taking aim.

"Yes. When I said I would take a bullet for you, I didn't intend for you to be the one to pull the bloody trigger."

"Times change, Johnathan."

"Gavin.. Don't do this."

"Why?"

"Because you're my brother, and I love you." Toast whimpered, stepping back a bit.

"The feeling isn't mutual." Gavin laughed. "Sleep tight, Johnathan."

"Wait, Gavin, please, no-" Toast whimpered, desperately.

"You're out of time, Johnathan."

"Gavin!!"

*bang*

Toast screamed as he fell out of bed. Sitting up, he looked in the mirror and saw Gavin, laughing at him.

Toast cried out, screaming again and grabbed his gun, firing at the mirror, missing it by a few inches. He kept firing until he heard a certain voice.

"Johnny?"

Ghost opened the door and Toast lowered his gun, standing up.

"Hello, Sir." he said, his voice sounding rough. He tried to smile, even though tears drizzled down his cheeks.

"I heard you scream." Ghost smiled softly.

"Nightmare."

"Gavin? Your brother?"

Toast nodded.

"Its okay." Ghost put a hand on his shoulder and smiled softly.

"I know he has been put away in prison, but it.. Just..we were so close, Sir."

"I know you were." Ghost hugged him tightly.

"It just doesn't seem right that he's there.. And I'm.. Here."

"Lets try to go back to sleep." Ghost lead Toast back to his bed and let him sleep. Before leaving him.

"That is the fourth time in a row." Ghost muttered.

"I'll find you." Was the last thing the two heard Gavin say.

"Why does he hate you, Johnny?"

"Because.. When he sees me.. He sees Father. And he hates that."

Toast closed his eyes and drifted off.

"Gavin, wait up!" A young boy called. He reached out for his brother.

"You're it! You can't catch me, Johnathan!" the older one laughed.

Their little sister giggled, watching them run around.

The sun was shining.

But now, the young boy stood alone.

The first time his brother tried to actually kill him.

"Gavin," he spoke softly. "Father wouldn't want thi-"

"Father is dead, Johnathan. We need to move on."

Tears rose in his eyes. "How can you say that?! He was our father! Our hero!"

Gavin turned around and faced him.

"Was, Johnathan. Just like he was alive." Gavin smiled.

Toast looked around, seeing Maxwell beside Gavin.

"No.. You didn't join them.." He stepped back. "You're joking Gavin? Tell me this is a joke!"

"Your life was a joke." Gavin stepped forward, smiling as his brother tried to back away from him.

"Gavin.. No.."

Gavins hands held his younger brothers face. He leaned up and kissed his forehead, before moving them down. They curled around his neck and Toast gasped, choking for air.

"Gavin.. Don't.. Please.." he struggled.

"Why not? You ratted me out to the police."

"What..will.. You.. Gain.. From.. Killing.. Me.." he gasped loudly. "Aside.. Fathers.. Disappointment.."

Gavins eyes burned with hatred as he kneed his younger brother in the ribs, making it harder for him to breath.

"Johnny?"

"Sir!"

The door opened to reveal Ghost and a few officers. Gavin growled, throwing Toast to the floor and running to Maxwell, who grabbed him and flew off.

Ghost ran over to his winded partner and sat him up.

"Johnny."

"I'm sorry Gavin.." he breathed. "I.. Should.. Have.. Been.. A.. Better.. Brother.."

Ghost looked down at his sleeping partner, who was crying and holding his hand tightly.

He sighed.

Why did his brother hate him so much? Did he get in with the wrong crowd?

Ghost didn't know. But he did know, that he would protect Toast as much as he could.

"You're forgetting about me, Ghostie.."
