"REALLY. You're watching Dawson's Creek!?" Madison yells. Jesus fucking Christ. Can I not spend the weekend in watching Dawson's Creek and drooling over James Van Der Beek without everyone acting like I'm dying. "Maddi listen, I really just want to stay in tonight. We go out like every weekend and see the same people. Doesn't that bore you?"

Madison let's out a sigh "No Nicole. What bores me is seeing Katie Holmes before she married and then had a dramatic divorce with Tom Cruise. What bores me is that right now at this very moment I am not grinding up on Nash. That is what bores me." Maddison throws her self on to my bed fully stretched out, she nearly covers my entire king size bed.

"Okay Nic listen. Can we go for an hour tops and then we can come back and I'll watch the whole first season until I fall asleep. Please. Please. Please." She moves over and starts shaking my arm uncontrollably. "Fine only an hour but I will be timing you! Now throw on some skimpy dress so Nash will notice you." Madison squeals and runs into my closet. I merely walk over to my dresser and pull out my favorite jeans from American Apparel and a black Arctic Monkeys tee shirt. I go into the closet and slipped on my black Doc Martins.

"You're wearing that? Please. You are the richest girl at out school and you dress like you don't care." Madison let's out a huff. "Maddi not everyone is as shallow as you. Not everything is about money." I roll my eyes so she knows I'm irritated. "That's only something rich people say. Along with all that other bogus shit like I'm not rich my parents are!" She made a mocking baby voice to quote the line that I have said to her on several occasions.

"Oh and I hope you know since we are going to be there for only an hour that means I only have an hour to get shit wasted. So you are here by claimed the D.D." She gives me a wicked smile. I head down to my car. I smoke a cigarette as I wait impatiently. She runs out without shoes on. "Sorry that took a while I was being indecisive." We both laugh "What's new" I add. I only live about ten minutes from Taylor, the party is at his house, so this shouldn't take too long.

As I drive and sing along to Birdy Maddi puts on her makeup. She basically just puts on mascara and lipstick. "All I'm saying is there better be weed here or we are leaving in exactly an hour. Get it?" I say as we pull onto Taylor's street. "You know there is, just chill. I'll get your little old soul home soon enough." Our usual parking spot in front of Taylor's house is still available. We head inside, the crowd of hormonal teens already knows to make way for me and Maddison. "HEY!" Taylor, Nash, Matt, Shawn, Carter, Cameron, and the rest of the gang say. There are girls with them that I'm sure I've seen before. They say hey to me as well but I don't bother to acknowledge them because they will be yesterday's news soon enough. Nash has his arm draped over some perky red head so I look over to Maddison who seems a little angry but I know she won't let her jealously show. Everyone can feel the tension though so no one speaks. I feel I need to break the silence "So is no one in this fucking house going to offer us a drink?" With that the tension dissolves everyone laughs and Matt hands me a drink. I smirk at him even though out of everyone I know Matt the least. I open the beer he handed me but it is quickly removed from my hands. I turn over to see that Maddison is the one who took it. Before I can protest she is already chugging down the drink. "The fuck!" I say once she pulls the beverage from her lips. "You're the D.D. remember." Our group of friends laugh and there is a mix of "Sucks for you!" "Ooh" also in the laughter. I groan and lift myself on to the counter that is behind me. "This blows." I say loud enough to show my frustration. I should've just dropped her off and left.

The party is in full swing. I am watching the gang play beer bong when I notice someone I've never seen at any parties before. "Hey!" I scream over all the noise and everyone's eyes immediately look at me. I point to him "Who are you?" Yeah I'm calling him out but I'm bored and sober so fuck it. He doesn't answer instead he just looks at me. "Hello? Are you going to answer me?" I say not getting a little creeped out by his silence. "Are you stupid or something?" says a girl next to him who doesn't look older than a sophomore. Some people laugh but not the gang, we all have an understanding that bullying is not cool. Me being a bitch however is. "You must be though." I say looking at her now. "No. I - I -I" she stutters "Was just leaving." I finished her sentence for her. "Wait but -" She is still trying to continue. "Leave. Now." Is all I say before she runs out. I don't care if she feels like shit. You don't be a douche to a new kid, they already have a lot of shit going on. I bring my attention back to the boy he smiles "I'm Luke." Damn he's cute. He has on a plain white tee and black jeans. "Are you new here?" Nash asks. "Yeah, I moved her today actually, I live two doors down." He informs us. "So you thought you'd just show up to your neighbors party, the neighbor you don't know?" I question. I know I sound like an ass but I really am just curious. He laughs this times. Oh fuck that's hot. "Actually yeah. What better way to meet people than to crash their party." The more I look at him the more familiar he looks. "Do I know you?" His eyes lock onto me. "I'm not surprised you don't remember me." He starts walking over to me "You know nothing special happened except -" I cut him off "HOLY SHIT! LUKE! Puberty has done you well!" We both burst into laughter as we exchange hugs. The rest of the party goers go back to what ever the fuck they were doing. I bring him into the semi circle that my friends have formed eager to hear how we know each other.
